You have mod powers, but you aren't in the special "Moderators" group because you are in the "Editor-in-Chief" group, and the PM that goes out is specifically the Moderators + Admin groups.
Ok, so do you want us to be conscientious members of this community and report it, or do you want us to not bother you and assume you are omni-omni and will catch it?

It's generally safer to report than not to. The things that definitely always should be reported are posts inside normal topics because those are harder to detect than newly created topics that are spam.
At least it's bot spam and not somebody trying to shiv another member!
For bots, threads will very likely be spotted but bot posts can appear anywhere and not be seen so definitely report posts. Threads are 'eh' and we can just go 'Mark All as Read' for report pms. I'd say just report shit.

I tend to report if I'm around and see them, but I don't want to add to admin migraines if I can help it.

I'd say rule of thumb is that in a case where it's topics being spammed, we'll probably see them easily enough. If it's just one or two topics or thread posts, report away~
If it's clear that we're working on it, either by a status update or something, it's fine to let it be. But if you find something we missed after the fact, a report is appreciated. ^.^)b
