Drowning is death via a lack of oxygen, right? And the reason you die is that without oxygen the brain and brain cells die (as well as other cells).

So if Wolverine can regenerate brain cells he's totally fine.

That... was a lot more intelligent than the reply I was gonna add. Basically that he'd probably be okay once he got back to oxygen. Even if his body rotted away, it'd start regenerating when he came back.

How did they cut off his head? I thought his skeletal structure was replaced by adamantium. (Also how to new red blood cells grown by his bone marrow penetrate the adamantium layer on his bones anyway?)
