I am a student in college, majoring in Music Education, with a passion for creating games, and composing music for them!

Long time no post.
New tracks are up, including the usual. Decided to open up a new soundcloud account in order to clean up and maintain my now "professional" one. Anyway, everything on this channel is free to use. Steps and such for credentials are located in this thread's OP, and the summary section of the soundcloud channel. Also, two of the aforementioned newbies:

[UNPAID] Looking for composer to work on some music on a semi-commercial game.
Seconded. There are quite a number of composers who offer up music for free. Kevin Macleod is very notable for doing this.
It's a tad insulting (no offense) to ask for free music without taking into account the amount of work that goes into creating a piece.
I was talking to a friend of mine, about how long it takes us to create a piece of music, and both of us, for our most recent pieces, spent over 20 hours on one project.
Asking someone to write music pro bono(or expecting them, rather) for nearly a work week's worth of time, is a lot. Especially if the music will add tremendously to the atmosphere of your project.
Not trying to rag, but if you want quality/originality, don't expect it to be free! There are a lot of composers on this forum who offer music for affordable prices!
If you DO expect to gain compensation, then you need to do the same for their efforts.

Feedback on a Battle Theme
Yeah. I second a lot of what has already been said -- in addition to this being a very solid composition.
A question -- Are you composing in a midi program? If so, which? Bends, tremolos, and other guitar techniques are difficult to emulate depending on the midi program you are using.
Now, in an effort to spice things up, this piece could use a bit more variety. For example, after the second "break" at around 00:53, you could try taking it in a different direction before bringing it back to the consistant push that you started with.

At 1:05, the piece shifts from the normal push that the piece started with. It still maintains its urgency, but gives the piece a second area of focus (that way it doesn't feel repetitive and monotonous).
