I'm not sure what I'm talking about honestly lol. I just want to run up and hit someone without starting a silly battle scene. Thank you both for your help though, I really appreciate it.

Hi! I'm working on a couple games and I am new to RPG maker. I know it has a battle system but honestly I don't want to use it. Instead, I want to attack and be attacked whilst running about, such as chases and such.

I'm not sure how to use scripts yet but if this requires a script I'd like to know if someone can show me a simplified article on scripting so I can do this right.
