Thanks for the replies, well I tried out rpgmaker 2000 in the past, and managed to understand quite well how it worked, basically im new on this (but not new at programming) so yeah, I was trying to figure out wich RPGmaker version would be better in case it were actually possible to handle this project. Obviously in case I choose one I would probably first try creating more easy games to learn deeply the software and language mechanics.

The isometric part is something i can work without, however im more concerned about the posibilities to change stats, atributes and skills, and the way the combat is (i must reiterate i would like it to be equal as "The Immortal").

I get your point LockeZ thats why i decided to post here, because im trying to find the ideal software for this.

bulmabriefs144, thanks for the link I have to say however thats not the combat style I want for my game, but I might use it if I plan start creating something more simple.

So, would you guys recommend me to work with any of rpgmaker softwares (between VXace and XP) or just find something else? Thanks

Hello, i would like to create a western rpg style game with a totally different mechanics if we speak about character sheet for example, a game similar to Realms of Arkania saga and particulary similar to "Shadow over Riva" title. The main differences from "Shadow over Riva" would be that i would do it in third person (Isometric if possible) and combat would be a dynamic 1vs1 style like "The Immortal". It would have many other minor differences compared to classic jrpgs.

So, is this kind of game possible with this software? or do you have any other software suggestion to do it? Thanks
