One little tip I had a couple people suggest to me when I started - try to set the pressure sensitivity high, so you don't have to press down super hard to get full pressure. It's tricky to get used to, but it'll save a lot of stress on your wrist and shoulder in the long run!

@turkeydawg: I've been using a mouse with my right hand for the last 7 years, lol. And I'm left-handed. All my work done up until yesterday was mouse-art. ^^

Hey you can also get non-wacom dealies that are pretty good too! i've got a monoprice tablet that's worked fantastically for the last three years. it cost all of 50 bucks? yeah. like 54 with shipping. monoprice tablets are pretty dang cheap compared to other tablets.
Luchi why didn't you switch your mouse to left handed? Surely that would have made things easier.

@spejoku: Mine came bundled with Clip Studio Paint Pro. I can use it for 24 months until I need to upgrade. And that software is amazing for illustration.
@nhubi: It's second nature to me by now, using a mouse with my right hand. I'm basically a faux-ambitextrous person when using the PC now, using both my left and right hand for my art now. =)
