Sometimes I feel like I'm known more for my mapping prowess than my actual gams. ><

Maybe its just my current mindset atm. I'm kinda depressed because my cat of 15 years had to be put down after she had a form of underlying cancer. ;_;
Oh, I'm sorry you are going through that loss, but at least you got 15 years with her and you did all you could to alleviate her pain.
Also no, as a fan of your work it's not the mapping that draws me in, it's the story. Mapping is icing on the cake, but I want the cake first.

;_; No wonder you're feeling that way; I'm so sorry to hear that!
I have to completely agree with nhubi: your mapping is extraordinary, but it's all in the service of the story. The story is what gets me to play!

Hey, 15 years for a cat is not too bad. In the end, I’m sure that your cat appreciated having a nice home and all the love that he or she could want.
And whaddya talking about, “I’m known more for my mapping prowess than my actual games?” Damn it, man – Enelysion was the shiiiiitt! I think even if it didn’t have all those pretty maps, I’d still enjoy it immensely. And Tristian’s sure turning out to be just as good, if not better than Enelysion was.
For an RPG, it’s the combination of having a good story, characters and all-around gameplay that really hooks me in. I really couldn’t care less about the graphical presentation at all as long as the game itself has all or most of those qualities. I mean, yeah, having good graphics can definitely help a lot, but it’s not the main seller most of the time.
