Multiple Events - Interaction? VX

Howdy again folks, so heres what I need to know how to do!

- The scene is simple, Your character is sent upstairs to find somone.
- That somone is a event ALREADY, that is set to move randomly.

so heres what I need to happen.

-When you go upstairs to see him after being given your quest, three Guards appear. Those guards run to the man your supposed to be run into.

- When you catch up, they begin conversation, some small fight scene, and then man is taken into custody by the guards, and they leave.

- A lady appears from the opposite end following the guards leave, explaining to me the man was a threat. and the story continues.

Heres How I think i can make it work.

1. When given the quest, the quest is to give the man an Item. so your given say, a cloth or whatever, to give the man upstairs.

2. the man upstairs is on a random move route, but under the condition that you have that cloth, a self switch is activated to cause him to NOT move.

3. a Parralel event is under effect that follows if you have the cloth. As soon as you run upstairs the event runs now that you have the cloth.

4. the processing events, are the three guards. they appear, and they run to the man who is sitting still as of now.

5. After the guas yell at the man, there needs to be a fight scene...I would assume creating move roues and event movement , thjrough the parrelel events.

but is there a way to cause an event to activate, because of another event?
Like, after the guards speak, a self switch is activated to start the next event page, which starts a fight between them. when its over, somthing happens to cause the lady to appear....does it just have to be another movement route inside the parrelel event forcing a new event to move?

if thats the case, how would I create, an event to self switch, through another events process?

Example.

EV001 - "hi tom"
Event ends -

EV002 - Event EV001 ended,
self switch A
(new page) - Move route 3 spaces left.
"Howd you know it was me?!"

Items that Create Party Members.

Alright, heres my full setup.

I have a Parellel process on EVERY single map, that if i have the item "Lexi" in my inventory, a little cat pops up and follows me around the entire time, thus a pet.

Now. The item "Lexi" does nothing pretty, however, im curious if i can make a Common Event - that when "Lexi" is in my inventory,
(COnditiional branch > Item, Lexi > If yes > Change Party member, add character "Lexi") is the setup I have. I knwo this would prolly work if it was an event i coudl click on, but i'd like it to be a common event, because this way at all times, as long as I have Lexi in my bag, she is ALSO in my party.

I woudl then create a self switch on the common event so that it doesnt repeat itself, but with the same processes, but in reverse so I can put Lexi away in a bank or at home. and she woudl then leave the party.

this making sense yet? Please throw me some feedback! I really coudl use the help!

Just a Couple Things VX...

ALrighty, what im trying to do is create a Class/Job system. Without using anything crazy extra. Is there a way to set a Class, to change its class, at a certain lvl? Example:

lvl 1 Girl.
at level 10, Class Girl, changes to Mage. this can be eithier a Choice - or based on a condition (like, to become a mage at lvl 10, you need to have a Mage stone. or you become something else.)

Curious if there is a system in existance that uses Pokemon like battling. Only without pokemon...

Example,

Battle Processing starts.
Enemy shows itself, and you appear on the bottom left while he is in the top right. WHen you use a skill, you nudge, and then the skill animation makes contact. If not, i will look for a FF like battle stlyle.

i think that does it for now. most stuff is event based i need finding out but i will get that done mahself. :) thanks in advanced!

Woo nto so new, but new acc - questions before i get started.

Alright, its been a bit - but back when i used this site and the makers, i used somewhat 2k3 and VX - i belive where the two diff ones. Can anyone yell at me to let me knwo which is the mose commonly used, and resources available here on rpgmaker.net? Just so i can get the proper one, and get back into - with a well sourced knowledge base behind me :)
