Selecting Multiple Key Items?

author=Marrend
If the list for the Select Key Item event-command is empty, it might be because you don't have any Key Items in your inventory?

I don't know if this is for MV (does MV even have that event-command?) or Ace, but, I did a quick-test in Ace. I used a test-project, added a copy of the standard Potion, and make that copy a Key Item. With no inventory, the Select Key Item menu was empty, but, when I added a command so that I would have the Key Item version of Potion, it appeared on the list.

Sorry, this is for Ace. That's just it though, I made Potion a key item in the second screenshot I posted. And I did add item +1 potion. So I'm not sure why this isn't working.

Selecting Multiple Key Items?

Hello, I've tried multiple key item tutorials but for some reason I can't get my key item to work. I want to set it up so you can select from a multitude of key items, but at this rate I can't even select one! I set it up so you can select either a potion or a teddy bear, and depending on which you choose a different switch will be triggered. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong! Here's some screen captures:

Opinion on how to describe objects in greater detail?

Thank you all for your insight onto this topic, it is a very interesting one, no? Your opinions have helped me greatly, so thanks for that! I've arrived at a decision. That said, feel free to continue discussing this if you like, I'd still be interested to hear other's opinions.:)

Opinion on how to describe objects in greater detail?

When a player stands in front of an object and presses Enter/A, do you think it's more effective to have the character comment on the object themselves, or to just have a little message box pop up with a general description. For example, if a player were to stand in front of a fire and press Enter/A, do you think it's better to have the text box pop up with dialogue from the character like, "Man, this fire is hot!" Or do you think it's better to have a text box pop up like "This flame is quite hot." Or perhaps a text box saying, "You touch the flame and it burns you." What do you guys think? I'm working on a game and trying to decide if I should have the character describe the object or describe it myself. And if I describe it myself should I describe it as "you" do/think this or just plain description?

The Cat's Minute Whimsy DEMO

author=sylphries
1.62 GB for demo?!

hmm i'd say its interesting
waiting for next update

Ah, yeah, it's a rather large file because I included the RTP and have yet to remove the unnecessary content (which I plan to do at the end once I know what I am and am not using since I haven't planned that far yet.) Thanks so much for trying it and the feedback! I'm not surprised about the wolf glitch, I'll try to fix it/ Thanks again!

How to alter in-game menu to display large picture?

I'd like the menu to have a profile option and display a large picture with a bio next to it, and maybe also a health bar. Any help would be appreciated, thank you ever so much, RPG community! Here's an example, from Ib.

Why your name?

For me, my steam account is roseredpinball, and that's where I bought rpg maker in the first place. I chose rosered because to me it seems romantic. Not in the the lovey dovey way, I mean in the sense of romanticizing. Rose Red was Snow White's sister, but I fancy that because of Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, no one remembers her and thus poor Rose Red has been forgotten.

The pinball, I chose for the happy childhood memories I have of going to this one family-run video store, back before Netflix took over and when people still got in their cars, drove to Blockbuster, and rented movies. This place has, of course, videos to borrow, but it would also let you borrow games, and it had pinball machines, that I can recall at least once playing on. So yeah, that's my story. :) I hope to be a great game designer someday! Games are so much more to me than entertainment! They're an art form!
