Item lore (detail information) ?

Hi.
Could somebody please come up with a script that would show a detail information when using a specific key (ex: 'L' for lore)?

(It's like a system that is in Baldur's Gate series, where if you right click on a item a window will pop up, containing in-depth information of it)

I am asking if it could happen using "note" slot in database. For example,

Example:
Database---------------
Item: Long Sword
Description: Basic swordman's weapon.
Note: < lore: Long swords are found almost anywhere in Forgotten Realms. It is the most verstile weapon that is commonly used among many classes, (and so on....)
In game item-----------
When pushed L button (or whatever), a window will popup displaying:
"Long swords are found almost anywhere in Forgotten Realms. It is the most verstile weapon that is commonly used among many classes, (and so on....)"

Would anyone challenge wiriting this battle script?

But it's horizontal, and enemies and players icon move the same direction, unlike that video.

Also, it would help if you put the engine this is suppose to be for, since rgss is different in xp, vx, and vxa.

icons moving same direction is what I want actually! I will have a look.
Thank you for pointing out the engine, too. I forgot about it!

Mock ups probably wouldn't hurt your case, either. And like Quasi said, put that engine in there. There's a world of difference between XP, VX and Ace when it comes to scripting.

Would 'fake screenshot' work? Also, is it still alright if i just edit this post? or do you suggest making a new post with more details/pictrues?
I am still getting use to using forums... I am from different country where they use different type of community board.

Would anyone challenge wiriting this battle script?

Hello.
I am currently looking for someone who would want to write a battle script that combines few features. They are:

1. Action time bar (hybrid ATB?):
It will work same as ATB, but instead of gauages showing for each individuals, there will be one guage on the side with all party members + monsters picture on it. The picture will move from top to bottom, meaning the action time. (hitting bottom means its the character's turn.)
Of course, priority and speed of the movement will be determined by character's agility. (So if a A has twice higher agility than B, his turn will have two turns for B's one.)
I'll give you a reference video to help you understand. It is a game called "Arcturus" and they have this system. Watch for "Action" on top.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWcMDMSUVZQ
watch from 0:30.

2. Spending TP system.
Characters can have multiple actions per turn, instead of having one action at a time. TP will work as a "movement point" where every action will cost this. A character can let one turn go to preserve this point. The turn will be over when TP reaches 0 or the player ends it manually.

These are two main ideas of the battle. Details can be discussed when someone wants to work on it.
Hopefully, this maybe interesting and challenging for someone to work on.
If you are, please give me a shout.

Thank you!

*this is for VXA!
