I don't know, I'm not sure if I consider begging for a living noble, but maybe he was making a point of something.

yeah, he was making a hell of a point. Diogenes' every action was a critique of what he saw as a decadent and redundant society, even down to his lifestyle.

the dude was unstoppable. even mocked Alexander the Great in public. when I grow up, I wanna be just like him.
