A few questions with RPG maker vx
So im using vx. (Btw is rm2k3 a free program because i see it everywhere for free.) So i want to know if it is possible to use custom battle sprites in vx. Like in 2k3 i want to have a script or something that allows battle sprites different than the field sprite. Another question, is it possible to have the field music and battle music playing together. (Like in ffvii, the field music stayed playing even in battle at the beginning of the game.) I think thats it. Thanks people.
How should I create my game?
I can get RPG Maker VX and RPG Maker 2003, and i want to know which i should use. Heres what im dealing with:
RM2K3:
-has a more traditional look with the textures and sprites.
-completely covers the screen (full screen with no black border)
-on the sprite maker website, the battle sprite doesnt match field sprites
RMVX:
-the way the textured are makes the game look similar to other rmvx games. (Imo)
-easier to use than rm2k3
-great scripts
Also, on a rm2k3 named vindication, the creator used the field sprites as the battle sprites. (But with different animations) does anyone know how to do that? Which rpg maker should i use? Better looking or ease of use?

Can I use game music in my game
Would I get into any trouble if I used music from Final Fantasy or Chrono Cross and posted it here for people to download? Thanks!
Needing some help starting off in RPG Maker 2003?

So my game is going to run on RPG Maker 2003. My problem is mainly with the sprites. I've created a field sprite and a battle sprite. Problem with the battle sprite is, I don't know how to change it from the default ones you select. (There's a drop down menu with default ones.) The field sprite seems wrong all together. I made a feild sprite at that charas project website. But when I import it in a RPG Maker, its too big. (The defaults are "char1" and my sprite is way bigger than the ones on that one. I've been looking for a solution for a while now and I hope you guys can help me out.
