Okay I like how you have the Materia. So I don't think you should get rid of it. I actually like summons as a character class ability. I also like it the other way but not as much. If you go the way of letting other characters have them. Why not have just equip a summon in battle so they could summon them and leave materia in game instead of having them give bonus. You could also give your summoner character the ability to equip two summons while everyone can only equip one( As well as any other bonus they get). Just some thoughts. Thanks for listening to what I have to say either way. By the way love how the game looks and cant wait till you are done.
