High end experiment - Seeking team / individuals

Thank you for quick and great responses! Really appreciate CashmereCats breakdown. This first post was me trying out the waters and want to keep encouraging questions if you feel something should be known to you beforehand.

I will immediately get in touch with my current team and make a quick plan on what we can/cannot divulge of personal info and of project, and will get back here soon with; if not screenshots of the project, at least some visuals to help you get an idea of where we see this going. Also I will be providing more specific info overall on the actual game and gameplay, although these might be linked with questions on the possibility of them actually being funcctional. I know I sound cryptic and maybe don't make sense, but hopefully you will understand me after my next reply and will also share proof of skill for myself and current team. I will of course ask the same in return, at least to some extent, from the person/s joining us.

Thanks again and looking forward to talk more soon!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that Norway/Sweden link as posted previously is NOT a requirement, only a bonus if that were the case. We have neither problems nor are we strangers to being creative over the wire.

High end experiment - Seeking team / individuals

Hey all.

I've been following this forum from time to time but just joined to post this information/request or whatever you might want to call it.

I am a film director based in Norway who is thinking of adapting a script into game. I've always been an avid gamer myself since before I could walk and trying to find ways to combine free time with career. On my team already is one of of the best sound designers in europe, a scriptwriter who has had a show export from Norway to Canada and US through among others Netflix. One of the voice actors involved currently plays in Game of Thrones. I myself have won multiple prestigious awards although they don't really mean anything. I'm not trying to namedrop (which I purposely didn't) I just want to give you the credentials of this project.

It is a passion project of those involved who are doing this as of now on credit, meaning no one currently is getting paid since no producers are involved at the moment, but they have rather chosen to own a part of the game. If the game sells, great. But that's not the motivator.

If it is for whoever wants to join the team, we will not hold that against you and will try to find payment that will suit you.

Now, I don't know anything about how large a team is actually needed for making a game in RM. I've tried to teach myself and it's gone surprisingly easy to learn, but it takes time. At least for me doing it on a hobbybasis and mostly to not be ignorant of the process.

As of now I'm thinking programmer, sprite designer and map designer if I'm not wrong? Then I also want to ask if RM is suitable for people to work together on a project? Also, if you are not interested but still want to help I would appreciate any tips on team structure and staffing.

I am sorry I can't say too much about the project at this point, but I can tell you it will be a drama with science fiction elements (but this part is a work in progress). I also want to explore the possibility of multiple choice answers, if this is possible within RM programming? Feeling that going from linear narrative to immersive, it would be a shame not to fully use the tools to trigger the heart and mind by at least adding consequense.

We would prefer a team from Norway or Sweden as this would make it easier to meet and work face to face, but have no problems with anyone as long as they have the skills and the attitude, I know you will love the project.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
