Hey everyone, new to the site, here are my first two sprites I've ever done. There incomplete becuase I just recently found tutorials on spriting so I'm more than likely going to scrap these and start from scratch again.
and here's an Assasin's Creed sprite I had just started.

Back at home, quick question though. How do I post a screenshot in this thread? I wanted to put up an image of my current sprite.

To Uh, my drawing skills are at best "alright " or sevicable. Im trying to improve but but i don't compare to some of the atists I've seen online. I'm on my cell right now but ill post what sprite work ive begun.when I get home tonight

Sorry that my sn seems to rub you the wrong way. I chose it becuase its one of 2 sns I have been going by for the past 8 yrs on various sites unrelated to this. It also makes it easier for me to remember what to login in as on the various sites if I keep the name constant. I also like to write on my free time and that sn is also the title of one of my rants so it holds a special spot in my mind. From experience on other forums, people usually reverted to calling me Truth for short given the sn is so long.
With me, short names have the opposite effect. Usually short names don't really reference anything (that I can conclude without having to personally know the person) and sometimes sound made up so they are more difficult for me to remember unless they happen to be catchy.
I happen to find my sn original though lol :). Given I've never had to add any numbers to the end of the sn to register it means no one has ever used it as far as I know, not even on aol. I know it might not be a name designated to a persona but like I said, its special to me.
As for the avatar though, that'll come in time. Once I have some free time to sit down and go through the profile options I'd throw a placeholder up as my avatar.
Thanks for your input though, I'd keep it in mind for a future sn. I've never run into a complaint about my sns before lol.

Thanks for the post, hopefully I pick up the skills necessary for properly using rpg maker. I'm still unsure of which version to go with. Right now I'm leaning towards xp over vx. I've read some really good threads comparing the two and from what I hear, what you can do on one is possible on the other. I just don't like the look of vx with the extremely small characters and really squared out designs for maps. I've read that I can import the recourses from xp to vx but but that just seems like a hassle when I can just use xp from the start.

.....jk lol. How's everyone holding up tonight? Sorry about the subject line but I needed something to get people's attention. Now on to the introduction.
Don't really know where to begin but I guess I'll touch on the somewhat random events which brought me to this site. I've heard of rpg maker a few years ago and dabbed a little in it but due to a lack of drive or attention, it quickly got put on the side burners. A few weeks ago though I decided to kick up my doodling hobby I used to have back in HS which lead me to buy a tablet. With that mind set still fresh and a brand new wacom tablet, combined with a marathon session of Samurai Champloo and a general love of rpgs, I suddenly got a drive to try and create an rpg again. After questing through the internet and rummaging among old decrepit rpg maker sites, I found this and a handful of other sites which still seemed to have some life in them. Checking out the forums and resources available really has me excited to become a part of the community.
That's basically the long and short of it. Given that I got the limelight though, let me give everyone a feel for what my rpg tastes are. I'm more of a console gamer so I'll go through the system generations and which where my favs of that time.
My list is in no particular order...
On the Snes, off the head there are Chrono Trigger, FF6, Breath of Fire 1 and 2, Lufia 1 and 2, Secret of Mana, Soul Blazer, Zelda, and last but def not least, Earthbound.
On PS1, Saturn, Dreamcast, and N64 there are Zenogears, Suikoden 1 and 2, Vandal Hearts 1 and 2, Breath of Fire 3 and 4, Lunar 1 and 2, Skies of Arcadia, Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Ogre Battle 64.
On PS2 and beyond there are Suikoden 3 and 5, Radiata Stories, Rogue Galaxy, Fable 1 and 2, Jade Dynasty, Star Wars Kotor 1 and 2, Tales of Symphonia, Lost Odyssey, Mass Effect 1 and 2, Dragon Age and Tales of Vesperia.
I'm sure there are more but those are the only ones I can remember at the moment. Sorry for the lengthy post lol.
