spent an hour chasing a spider. I really hate killing them, but sometimes they're just too tough to catch.

I usually like leaving spiders alone, even if I find one in the bathtub. I'll usually try to chase them away so they get out of the bathroom and go somewhere else that I can't see 'em.

Of course, up here in Canada, we don't get awfully big spiders.
I have very strict policies when it comes to spiders. the walls and ceilings belong to them, but any surface parallel to the ground is mine. if I find them on it, I'll remove them. whenever I see a new one, I let it know my rules. I basically think spiders are adorable, and they provide a valuable service, but not if they're just sitting around.

sometimes, though, they're too tough to catch! so I gotta kill 'em. maybe they will be reincarnated into not-a-spider and have a happier time.
I usually leave them alone if they're not anywhere in my bedroom/kitchen/dining table or if I cannot see them. I usually kill any creature that's within my sight though, but if they scramble fast enough, I'd be too lazy to chase them haha x)
if I see a spider on my wall or spinning a web I just tell it "you go little man slash lady"

and then salute

because it is doing its job and that is admirable
and the spider's all "???????" because it does not understand anything besides hunger and fear

I woke up one morning with a spider in my hair, and didn't know it was there until I touched it. Thankfully I was still half-asleep and didn't have my glasses on, otherwise I would've freaked the hell out ;_;

I like spiders if they're outside--they keep mosquitoes from coming in the house and are cool little guys!
you know about half an hour after I posted a status update about a spider I was like

"oh man people on the internet are going to be hyperbolic about spiders"

but so far no one in this comment chain has vastly overstated how afraid they are of spiders

so good job
I had a spider in my hair once

it just kind of dangled in front of my eyes as if to say hello

I waved its string around a bit and nearly died laughing

then I went and got a haircut because it was obviously a sign

A long time ago I found a large, hairy tarantula behind a painting in my friend's beach house. It scared the heck out of me. Thankfully, my friend's dad took care of it.
Well, my cousin used to keep spiders in these small containers and kept them as pets, sometimes he lets me play with them (like, uh, let them roam on my palm/arms and stuffs). sooo I guess that's why I don't freak out when I see one unlike my female classmates >_>
