XEILMACH'S PROFILE

I love drawing since I was a toddler and decided to make RPGs to get practice and challenge. My main work is the "SEKAI" series which takes place in a "modern" modern setting since there's not enough of those around.

Switching from XP to VX Ace
Okay, thanks for the replies. I really wanted to know about the Charaset parameters.
I've never used VX prior so I did not know about Parallax mapping to get around.

Switching from XP to VX Ace
Hello,
I've been using XP for some time due to its lack of graphic resource limitations.
I enjoyed such features:
- Making charaset of any size actors as long as the graphic's pixel width and height is divisible by 4 (e.g. 400x100, 120x320)
- Using a long, long tileset of 32x32 tiles.
I did not upgrade to VX because of limitations.
I am thinking about switching to VX Ace, and am wondering am I limited to square locations and small people only? Or can I use XP resources as well? I have a trial of Lite and saw Charasets were 384x256 and 384x512 with 4x2 rows of objects each and was wondering could it be modified..
Thank you.

RMNv4 Feedback
The layout is all right, but the more prominent stuff that I usually come here for are now at the bottom half instead of where I can see right away without scrolling. Surely scrolling don't isn't much work, but it's going make me psychologically somewhat come less. O_o
Resource Center
I don't know if I don't see it, but it would help to have a graphical / audio resource center / database on the site instead of people putting their awesome creations just in the forums. I think it's kind of weird for there not be a "Resource" page link in the navigation above for a game-making site.
With a resource center page:
- Members can generate a stock of resources for one another to use and up makerscore at the same time.
- Members can also post other people's graphics from other sites with approval (Maybe rips can be organized by games)
- Resources can be edited and re-submitted by other members with original author/mod's approval
- Resources will be tagged, so related things can go together
- Resources can be viewed by "most viewed" or "most popular"
- Art competition can be held for those who want to let out their creativity and feel a sense of achievement ( or give something like Misaos in categories to spriters?)
------------------
Possible benefits
------------------
- reduce people asking / looking for specific graphics
- have members dedicate more time to actually working on a quality gameplay with resource gathering process out of the way
- make RMN an even more recognized community with unique graphics provided
Thank you for reading.

^ With an attitude like that, you're bound to learn fast. Keep it up.
I've also made a rpg game with everything from scratch, and I have to say it's not easy. However, it was "my world" so it motivated me to finish, and you learn more things that way.

First thing that ever took me a long time to finish. I'm not good with animals at all.

Still need to shade and in a way that adds a texture feel to it and make things stand out more.

Hello!
The Screenshot Topic Returns
Your abandoned game ideas?
When I had found Blizz's ABS (a very neat script), 3 ideas had popped into my head and I've began detailing it for the next year. They're all superhero-related:
Savior: Advent
The main character found out that the quiet, chronically-absent girl in his class is really part of a secret organization that have battle creatures known as Fallens for centuries. Fallens are demons that have gain massive powers by fulfilling contracts with sinners (Faust-like). The conflict revolves around the main character decision to either continue fighting for humanity or to just live a normal life.
Savior: Antz
The main character goes to university where he met his former science teacher. She gives him a device that allows him to transform into Antz, a mechanical humanoid that resembles a red ant. The main character is recruited into a top secret military organization with other fellows like him that battle bug-like aliens that had arrived on a meteor and began breeding on earth. The story mainly focuses on the conflicts between the young and inexperienced main character and the older superheroes.
Savior: Agito
The protagonist is a superhero who visits the other worlds of other superheroes (all of my childhood creations) to help them in a Kingdom Hearts sort of way. After visiting the other worlds, the Protagonist is able to assume the forms of the other superheroes in a Ben 10 kind of way. Throughout his dimensional traveling, he encounters a single entity that has been scheming to destroy all worlds.
I just never put them into works because I prefer multi-member party than a single player battle-system.

Wich do you like best? 2k,2k3,Xp,VX
I love RMXP because I can use big tilesets files and have multiple layers. I can also use different size sprites so I can get past using moving pictures. I recently tweaked on scripts and gotten the hang of it - and I'm not very computer savy either.
