Yeah, now I remember I actually mentioned that it doesn't stack, until I recently reread the stacking part in the wiki twice and realized I read it wrong :p It does stack.
and here I farmed almost everything with only 60% loot when I could've used a bit more xD and I could've used my treasure hunt that I got too a lot earlier and probably could've gotten everything faster lol

If I'm not wrong, they just need to be summoned, but if you want to double confirm, you can test out their Experience Rise skill and see if being in reserve or active makes a difference (unlike Loot Rise, you can definitely tell how much experience you gain for a battle). But one thing I know for sure is that they definitely need to be summoned.
If it works with Experience Rise, it definitely works the same with Loot Rise.
Didn't I ask about that back on like page 6? xD and you said it didn't stack remember :P

From what I understand from the Japanese wiki, separate passives do not stack, so only the higher level skill counts.
Maybe I should really translate the Japanese wiki lol.
Did you do some further testing or something? I've purposely not stacked loot rise because of that lol, trying to farm some end game stuff, almost got it all.
now I have to go do some further testing :P
edit: after a bit of testing (like 2 mins) they do stack, and I made sure to use the exact same monsters each time (annoying amount of reloading lol) but with +80%exp/60%loot in battle I got 594 exp, for the second battle the familiar was summoned but not in the battle (in the sidelines I guess) same 80%exp/60%loot, I got 330exp and the third battle I had the 80%/60% in the battle along with +20%exp/30%loot and I got 660 exp which means they definitely for sure stack also that battle is the only of the 3 that I got a drop when I had +90% loot, not even the first battle where I had +60% but drops are random but im going to assume that they do stack together as well
so the first time I guess we were wrong lol

@gabranth I could tell you but as I said about time and space turning inside out and stuff, and honestly even if I told you or you found out on your own the chances of it happening make it pretty much unreliable, it's faster to beat the boss yourself and even if you lose to the boss like 20+ times before you finally win it would still be faster to just beat the boss normally.
but if you can figure it out good job, just don't count on it working even once. or more than once if you can figure it out by having it happening.
@eplipswich lol thanks xD, at first I was just going to put something really simple in the spoiler that's hidden like how I just called itThe Ultimate Technique, but that was too simple, so I added extra stuff and who knows it might be the truth lol
I feel like if it worked on all bosses(since im not sure if it even does), the time getting it to work on each individual boss would turn this game from 10-20 hours into closer to the 100 hour mark, just on bosses alone trying to get it to work.

author=eplipswichThat is probably the BIGGEST understatement and probably ever will be in the history of time.
Just a word of note, though. It doesn't work all the time.

@zeph229: Good job figuring it out! I think you and one other person here are the first ones here to figure it out. Even I didn't know about this before :)
It would be good if you can put that in spoiler, though, since I would like others to figure it out by themselves as well (use the "hide" and "/hide" tags with the square brackets).
True and done. honestly I didn't know either I'm not sure why I even did it lol and I'm not sure how many it actually works on but when I tried to do it again I just couldn't. It's a really low chance. I must've tried it at least another like 30+ times and it didn't work at all.
I'd say it's a low enough chance and might not even work on at least 25% of the bosses in the game like at all that it's not even worth relying on or even worth trying unless you're super bored and have about an hour of time to kill xD. I just got super lucky. I'd say getting drops like garnet are probably like a super high chance of getting those compared to what I did actually happening.
tl;dr : there's probably absolutely no point in bosses having a resistance because the chances of it actually happening are just way too low and there's almost no point in even trying. lol
edit: changed my previous post a bit lol and the spoilers are... a little different xD changed for the safety of time and space itself!

best most unexpected moment on my new file. made preperations, saved just before the boss of mystic forest, made plans of what familiar gets what sorcery.
okay I'm good lets start the battle,
unexpected, how many bosses aren't resisted toThe Ultimate Technique in this game? lol
edit: so I saved in a new slot just incase and went back now I can't do it again, just keeps missing lol but it's possible xD
so many missedUltimate Techniques idk what made me even do it in the first place lol
just because, I had to go back and beat him normally.
okay I'm good lets start the battle,
I used the ultimate technique to absolutely annihilate the boss, a technique so powerful it scattered his entire being across and infinite amount of different dimensions but the technique is so powerful that the chances of it being repeated in the history of the universe is on an unimaginably low scale that it may never happen again and the technique is so powerful if repeated a second time it will rip the entirety of time and space inside out and cause it to collapse in on itself into absolute nothingness as if it never existed to begin with.

Hello I have a question again :o
I just killed the Boss in the dungeon on the Hill Cross or so :o
And now Reviel gets constantly damage in fights even though he dosen't get attacked. And he loses hp when he attacks one enemie even tough he didn't lose anything before.
Do you have something like Ignard, Aqualad, Windea, Thornix, or Testafa equipped onto Reviel? Those swords take off about 8 or so hp per sword and I believe Testafa takes off 10. Those are the swords with an element.
If it's one of those swords you can lower the damage by equipping an accessory of the same element, so like if you have Ignard equipped you could equip Fire Ring to lower the damage.

Nope, they don't :(
Aww well that's a little disappointing, well at least as you get new familiar's they usually have the same skills but higher if not more as well if it's a similar familiar.

Yep, that's what I mean. If the maximum level of the default Meditation skill is level 1, it will stay at level 1 even with the Meditation sorcery equipped and regardless of the familiar's level.
Dang and here I was hoping for that they at least made an exception.
So what about default skills leveling with the familiar? I'm guessing those don't either?
Nocturne: Rebirth (English)

This, I'm actually not very sure. Maybe someone can try teaching a skill to a familiar and then level it up to see if there's any change. I tried giving a skill to a Level 21 familiar, and its maximum level was 3, but giving the same skill to a Level 28 familiar causes its maximum level to be 4.
EDIT: I just checked the Japanese wiki, and yep, it's confirmed that the sorcery skill's maximum level depends on the familiar's level. However, you can't use a Sorcery to overwrite a skill that a familiar has already learned by default.
Yeah sorceries scale based on level that part I figured out. But I mean like a familiars own passive skill not a sorcery. And even if a sorcery didn't level with the familiar you can always release then summon it again with the sorcery so it can scale with its level.
But like default skills I meant. Like siren already has "Dawn" Lv2 for an active skill and "Quick Magic" Lv2 for a passive. At say level 50 just for example purposes would both those skills stay Lv2? Or would they level up with her and be at a cap of Lv5 at level 50?
That's the part I'm trying to figure out. Right now as far as I can tell it doesn't.
Also now that you mention that you can't overwrite a skill, I'm guessing you can't overwrite to a higher level then? Say a familiar has Meditation Lv1 at level 50 and you give it the sorcery meditation, that sorcery would normally scale with level giving a level 50 familiar Meditation Lv5, would it stay Lv1 since you can't overwrite?
And as for passive's stacking I should've known lol. I know some games like to allow you to stack in that case, multiple members having similar passives for drops etc., but lots of games also like to count it as like a new amount I guess counting only the higher amount giving priority and ignoring the lower amount.
Nocturne: Rebirth (English)
Does a familiar's passive skills level up with it? Or is it only sorceries that scale based on level? I've never really checked or noticed if a familiars own passives level with it or not.
Also do separate passives stack? Haven't really used passives that increase exp or mell at all so I'm unsure of this, say white rabbit loot rise 2 and black rabbits loot rise 3 = 70% loot or does it only count the higher one? So loot rise 3 makes it 40% and ignores loot rise 2 since it's lower.
