Well... the results are weird and sad, but I don't think there's anything wrong with the voting system. Such things can happen.
I'm happy for the votes I got.... I got votes in almost every category, which is awesome.

the sad part is, if you look at Gamespots best of 2010, you'll see almost this exact same thing. Just replace Red Dead Redemption with Vacant Sky.

I don't think he meant those are the actual categories that RDR won in, I think he was just making an example.

Yeah I'm looking at Gamespots now, and I got what ya meant. I don't get something though. Vacant Sky cleaned up in like, nearly every category right? Even RDR did not win like everything according to what I'm seeing on Gamespot, but VC got awards in things that just like..well they don't make sense to me. I dunno whatever I guess I just don't get how a game that I never really heard much ya know "about" sweeps like nearly everything. RDR I can see I mean with their marketing and all hell who hasn't heard of RDR right? It's like, instead of RDR what if Neir (Squeenix title) won all those categories and like, no one I know has even heard of the game? I'm playing Vacant Sky right now, but this whole Misao thing has got my suspicions going so I think I'm gonna go stop playing and go chill elsewhere. I don't like how this all feels. Lata.
Honestly, the 20+ people(if it wasn't just a couple people multi-voting with different accounts) gave a vote towards one category, they probably just voted for every other category that was available.
Which is probably why so many of the votes are like twenty-seven.
The only reason I know of Vacant Sky is because it's in most RM forums.
But if I just solely went to this site, then I wouldn't know one thing about the game.
Also, we can't really compare mainstream games with an advertising budget to indie made games on RM sites.
So, of course we have all heard(mostly) of Red Dead Redemption. :]

Vacant Sky aggressively marketed. More aggressively than many indie games.
And I must have missed all this "aggressive advertising"
Because for some reason, most people haven't heard of this game regardless of its advertising.
Even on the RM forums I just thought it was another bland everyday XP/VX game.
Although it had like 100+ comments, I figured it was because it had been out so long.

Actually Red Dead got awards it shouldn't have gotten at all either. BEST ATMOSPHERE? Really? Because the desert is so interesting to look at. Kind to think of it, didn't Vacant Sky get the same award?

wow. just because the moon's atmosphere is thin does not mean it does not exist. Do you have some kind of "Earthbase Alpha" you would like to show me? No? Yeah. What a surprise.
