RESIDENT EVIL 6
Posts
Oh Babeh. I am so gonna watch my dad play this.
Since I have no ability to play horror games whatsoever. I got freaked out in the intro part of RE4 when I got pitchforked by some dude in the face. I was playing on the Wii, too.
Nice to see a good amount of playable character variety, and these don't look like minor side stories like Ada's was. I hope they've changed the inventory system from 5's. God DAMN. RE4's inventory was great and then they go and do that in 5. /me shakes head in despair.

It was a necessary simplification for the sake of online multiplayer. No time to be managing a big complicated inventory screen when other players are firing with/at you.
I loved RE4. Musta played through it 10 times. But that turned out to be nothing compared to the endless hours I sunk into RE5. Mercenaries and versus were SO addicting.
If they had to do that they should've made a seperate handling of the inventory exclusive for multiplayer. RE4's inventory made sense, required the player to think about what they kept (like carrying around a huge stinkin' fish!) and contributed to gameplay (and it was definitely a bright idea to have play pause during such).
In RE5's campaign mode the inventory system felt clunky, a downgrade, and more importantly HERBS WEREN'T STACKABLE- so it was several times harder to actually get the herbs required for a R/Y/G herb mix (was that even possible in RE5 /can't remember). Moreover you ended up with permanent items, like the Melee vest, and it was damn hard to survive with it let alone without it- and I think there was a Bulletproof vest, too, so Chris's slots got reduced to a grand total of seven items. SEVEN. That's what- two guns, two clips of ammo, a grenade, and two herbs (if you're lucky?!). And it's not like RE5 was any easier than RE4 in respect to enemy strength, persistance and health- so the item restriction just added cheap, false difficulty that RE4 didn't have. Oh sure, you could count Sheva as an additional 9 slots, but if she had decent AI you wouldn't be using her as a pack mule- another fault on Capcom's part.
Don't get me wrong, RE5 is a good game- and I'm sure the multiplayer is fantastic- but the mechanics in RE4 trump RE5 on any day more or less because of the inventory system alone. And don't get me started on RE5's lack of Leon.

You must have missed the whole "unlimited capacity item box after every scenario (and during too, if you knew how)" part.
I'd take RE5's inventory system over RE4's any day, at least I could possess more than 3 guns at the same time.

I find funny how people is bitching about having a 7 items inventory when Chris on RE 1 had 6.Just saying.
EDIT: Did i really read that Resident Evil was never scary and the Survival Horror games is worst than the Action Games o-o
Dont know you guys, but i am still scared about RE 3 and i cant complete RE Remake because its way too scary for me.
