Well, the 2012 theory is just plain bullshit made by some devout Christian who thinks that because some jungle tribe made calendars only until 2012, the world would end during 2012.
But I assume that you don't even believe in that crap either so..
Eh. I might want to finish few RPGs, Earthbound especially. I have finished Earthbound Zero ages ago though so no need for that. Probably I should finish Dead Rising 2: Off the Record again.

The only game I actually finished this year was Bulletstorm.
Some aspects of it were pretty meh, but the combat was spot-on. Now I cant get into older shooters, because they feel boring compared to the skill-shots and charge shots of Bulletstorm. And I did like the humor, even though the main character is a total a**hole.

Batman Arkham City and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Honestly you can say so much bad about the Call of Duty series, But I still think that they have enjoyable single player campaigns and extras. Multiplayer I don't actually play though surprisingly.
In terms of Rpg Maker games.. Fey, Story of Innocence and Rise of the Third Power.

Just finished Arkham City this last weekend. I think I liked Arkham Asylum better, surprisingly enough.
Well then I guess I really should play and finish Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty :)

The 2012 prophecy thing is supposed to be about a "great change." All the doomsday fanatics read "great change" and interpreted it as "cataclysmic end-of-days shit" and here we are.
Finished Mass Effect 2 today. Not nearly as good as the first one.
Gave up on The Witcher 1. Kinda boring.

have you seen this?

I've finished two games so far this year.
Defense Grid: The Awakening and DLC Quest.
Unfortunately I don't have screenshots for any of them. DLC Quest was a lot of fun, if a little short. But as far as parodies work it was okay. Though I've seen better games here on RMN.
Defense Grid on the other hand was a very excellent tower defense game that actually had a very touching story to it as well. Told through fairly simple means with the very sympathetic AI companion in the game. A nice example of storytelling in a game in my opinion. Oh and the actual tower defense gameplay was fun too.
I haven't yet played through the DLC on Defense Grid, which I also got or maybe it just came with the package.

Defense Grid: The Awakening and DLC Quest.
God that game is awesome. Does it get any harder though? I'm about five stages in and it seems to be getting easier rather than harder.
It does get harder once all the towers and other gameplay elements have been introduced. Of course I'd say it never gets frustratingly hard and whenever I failed on a level I tended to feel like "ah, I should have done that and not that". So that's the good kind of difficulty.
As soon as someone tells me the world will end on "Day X", I know it is not a day picked by God, and therefore not a day the world will end. It will end either before or after said day. Until then, I do not feel obliged to finish any of my unfinished games... and my list contains plenty.
In fact, I don't think I've completed a game this year besides "Silent Eyes"...

So far...
Skyrim, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Bioshock 1-2, Mass Effect 1-3 (Only started playing because of hearing all the bad things about the ME3 ending lol), Bulletstorm, Borderlands.

Well the 2012 theory is a load of crap, but this year I have finished Mass Effect 1 and 2 (Yet to play 3), Disgaea 3, I platted Skyrim on the PS3 and I've just finished Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. :D
