CloseFallout New Vegas disappointed me because the Mojave Wasteland was not only more empty, but had more dead-zones you couldn't enter than the Capital Wasteland in Fallout 3. That made me really unhappy, since it felt like I could really go anywhere in Fallout 3, but now there are these huge areas I can't in New Vegas.

I don't have anywhere I can't go. Unless you're talking about the radiation. I'm far enough in the game that I've got a space suit and plenty of rad-Xs and radaways. I can go anywhere I want.

Real life Fallout would be really bad, and a lot of the situations you see in the game are viable, but there's a lot of good, scientific reasons to believe that it wouldn't be quite the Mad Max environment that Fallout portrays (in fact, the game gives you glimpses of what life would really be like. For example, a lot of the water supply is toxic, but you'll note that Lake Mead isn't contaminated). Also animals wouldn't grow gigantic like that. While they would mutate, their growth would actually be stunted. The area around Chernobyl is what the world would actually be like, and as a lot of people who have actually been there point out, it's catastrophic, yes, but not quite the disaster that games and movies make it out to be. There are rad zones just like in Fallout where it's really dangerous to wander, but nature has pretty much adapted and is thriving. Then again, New Vegas takes place in the Mojave, and even without the fallout, that place already looks like that, irl.
I haven't consider myself one .. but I WILL shy away from many things if I already know I won't be invested in them. Hah
I keep stopping myself from messaging various people about my next event. Gotta keep in my own head. Too much excite, too much to contain. >_>

Which color is the "Interested" color? I bought a 24 pack of different colored markers yesterday and I can't find that color.
That's, like, asking if there is a Surprise element in a given RPG.

Aww...yas! I chose not to kill of Kona Ming in the flavor for the last Battledome! I've been wanting to revisit her character, especially now that she's back to being a mind slave for PSI!
What's more interesting to me than a "Fallout" type of future is a possible future beyond the "Fallout" phase. What if humanity manages to survive to a point where speciation happens, where human beings begin to branch out into several evolutionary paths to take on new forms and be unable to breed with each other? How would "true" humans deal with the presence of a people of equal or greater caliber than they are?

Nope. New characters, new slate, new Battledome event entirely.
Fight Fest will return before long, though, so don't lose heart.
