WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

author=Corfaisusauthor=Frogge:OOOOOOOOOauthor=MirakWell I've never played the game and have nothing to contribute so I kinda agree.
I would like to add that i find talks about final fantasy seven exhilarating but that's just me.
Do you have a Steam account? I might buy you the game just so you can experience itstravestymajesty. Just be patient with the Jeuno march, that part is torture.
Yeah christ, did nobody playtest their minigames??

How does Cloud spin his massive Buster Sword around in a tight fist like that? Is he a robot?
I'd say it's about 50% anime physics, 50% SOLDIER training (or Jenova cells, or what-have-you), and 100% Rule of Cool.
The same way Zidane spins his double edged sword things in the victory pose.

With both hands? Yeah, I may have retained next to nothing about 7 but I've memorized almost every detail of 9.
Like did you know that Garnet's real name is Sarah? Like the princess in the first game because everything in 9 is a reference to an earlier game? Or that the story told by Ramuh in Pinnacle Rock is a reference to Final Fantasy 2?
IS DA BEEEEEEEEST!

Oh i thought you were talking about the hands being blocky poligons not that it was single or double handed spin.
And i knew about Ramuh's story but hadn't caught up on Garnet's real name.

Please don't, I wanna play the series in order. One day. Not anytime soon.
It's very likely that the sword isn't as heavy as we're all thinking. Apparently swords were a LOT lighter than you'd think, just so people could wield them without breaking themselves. That and Mako-infused body guys. Really? You forgot already? How else do you think thin Mr Sephiroth wields that long-ass katana so effortlessly?
My favourite Cloud weapon, btw, is nailbat. Best weapon. Bat with nails sticking out. Ingenious. Best. Probably heavier than Buster Sword could ever hope to be. It's a fucking giant piece of tree with nails. Lovely.

I've never finished FF7.
I've also somehow managed to avoid any major spoilers. (aeris lives dammit!)
(I only finished FFIV like, 3 years ago, and FFV about 2 years ago. I haven't played any FF after VII)
9 should definitely be on your list to-play, then. It's the best of the 7/8/9 trio and still holds up well today. Get the steam version, though, if only because they made the battles faster.

Esby is the one who started prodding me about it because I wasnt being centrist enough for this rotten cesspool of a community but alright
Have fun literally never making a difference anywhere ever you fucking useless jackasses
Seriously? You randomly come back after proclaiming you will never post here again

Hey everyone, I won't be posting on the forums any more, so I'm dropping out of OP Mafia.
Shit sucks. Toodles.
you act like nothing has happened, posting your art and posting in topics. Then right away you instigate some shit and throw out the RMN bashing. Why the hell did you even come back? I didn't forgive you for the first round of bullshit, I sure as hell wouldn't change my mind for round 2.
I'm hoping that is another farewell post, but just in case I'll wipe you off the face of the earth with an ignore. Jesus fucking Christ.
For the record, life is pretty chill and easygoing when you ignore internet nonsense.
Final Fantasy 9 is garbage.
Or let's say it like this. Final Fantasy 9 was the Final Fantasy that made me quit Final Fantasies.

I just finished Forever's End and maaaaaaaaaaan I need to write a review.
There's nothing gameplay-wise about Final Fantasy 9 that's any worse than any of the other entries in the series. I think you're having a giggle.

I will take the banne! Fight the power!
Final Fantasy 9 even made me quit jrpgs. Forever. Mostly.

author=LibertyWell I didn't get far enough into FF13 because of controller issues. (I'm pretty sure I didn't make it past the tutorial)
Aw. I guess FF13 just put another nail in the coffin then?
I also think it was impossible to rebind the keyboard and mouse controls (which were terrible anyway), because game developers hate left-handed people.
EDIT:
author=CorfaisusThat is true. But it was the third (more if you count the ones before it) game to use pretty much an identical system which was incredibly unengaging. (Between finding FF7 and playing FF9 my gameplay horizons had widened considerably) And the story was just... So... Slow. I was just running from point to point in a linear corridor hoping that maybe eventually I would get to actually do something.

And yes I realize this is exactly like the previous games. Which is why I never played a FF (or a JRPG) again.

...Thank you for reminding me that FF13 existed. I had successfully repressed that trilogy until you cam along.
Also wow I completely forgot I even beat FF7 until I read the last couple pages. I DROPPED FF6 and yet I remember far more about that game than the entirety of FF7.
