Not sure why I let her words bug me. I guess it's just hearing something so cold from someone who's never even worked in her life, and has no concept of what it takes to draw comics (not to mention has no concept of time, given not having a job.) Somehow having someone like that tell you that you're worthless is stinging.

Hong Kong sellers on eBay are the best. I don't know why, but I always receive items from Hong Kong extremely quickly.

Yeah man, I don't think I have ever had a problem with China or Japan. They ship quick and usually don't have a ridiculous shipping rate, despite where they are located.
It's always Brazil and the Philippines, they don't want to pay me to ship half way across the world.
The idiots don't even read the description and act like I'm being a dick when I tell them that I wish they had contacted me first about international shipping.
Ugh, they always buy the most expensive stuff too. So it's a real bother when they decide not to pay for the shipping last minute.

Europe is always the worst for me, especially France. They always seem to say to themselves, "lol, let's ship with FedEx and make him charge out the ass on customs!" WHY SHIP WITH A COURIER INSTEAD OF THE POST OFFICE!?

I just hate shipping in general, not necessarily from specific countries. Although I'll agree that Hong Kong is weirdly always good.. One time, we had a big Christmas order from ThinkGeek and had already paid about £20 on shipping. When the guy arrived at the door, he demanded a further £25 customs fees. :/
On an unrelated note, I hate '50 Shades of Grey' simply because all of the gross people on my Facebook never shut up about it. I really don't want to know that you like erotica THAT much.

@Caz- Yeah, same thing happened to me recently, like what the fuck? Because I wasn't informed on the total shipping or the people who sent it were too cheap to pay for it, they make you do it the last minute? I really hate that, and you kinda have to pay because it's right there at your doorstep.

Getting stuff from Asia is somehow amazing if you get the right sellers. I've ordered a few big parcels (27" monitor and a pair of 7" brass guardian lion statues being the most recent) and effectively paid peanuts on shipping * and got them in a week give or take a day or two. Which is the same amount of time I spent waiting for a Nexus 7 tablet I ordered from Google (shipped from Indiana specifically). I ordered the Okami art book and OST from Hong Kong and I don't remember the specifics except being real happy with shipping speeds.

The lion statues were five dollars shipping added on top of the purchase price. I had originally put aside an extra $70 or so for shipping so I pretty much saved 25% of what I had allocated. The monitor shipping was also included w/o a $25 custom charge but some other sellers separate the shipping from the item and world wide shipping was given at $50.
