I literally can't taste anything right now, and I have no idea why. It's kind of concerning me.
You know what else is linked? My brain and my hands. Not always, just reference last night.
I am not sure why I always start off any given project by trying to distill myself out of it. Something in the back of my mind keeps nudging me like "hey, that's too weird" or "this should be dumbed down a bit". (not to sound like a high up, I mean "dumbed down" in the sense of "take some of the artistic craziness out of it").
I always spend the first month of anything I do wallowing around throwing concepts at a wall until I realize that the only way they'll stick is if I just let myself go wild. I can't let my preconceptions about what the game should be get in the way of where I can really take the concept once I get rolling.

I feel as though I have made peace with my current endeavour, in any case. Now it's time for the real fun to begin.

Well, I was going to change both to unrecognisable things buuuuuut someone said my RTP Princess moniker was a good idea (they had no idea it was a 'thing' :'< ) so I had to put it back on, and I promised Ocean that that would be my next avatar since it was a Christmas present from him.

This can also be caused by allergies. Anything that interferes with the sinuses will interfere with taste.
