while in the midst of taking care of some other shit i completely and totally missed a final exam for a class yesterday
which is totally my fault and i take responsibility for but that doesn't make it any easier
my professor is a pretty nice guy and he's especially been patient with the remaining number of students who haven't completely abandoned his class, me included

I showed up (45+ minutes) LATE to a final exam once and it was one of the most agonizing experiences ever. So I can sympathize with your (much more painful) situation.

The wrong place to define maxhp_limit
Both of you are doing it wrong. Define it within the appropriate class itself instead of the superclass and calling extended methods. (this is faster for what it's worth (nothing) )
ex.d
class Game_Actor
def maxhp_limit return 999 end
end
class Game_Enemy
def maxhp_limit return 99999 end
end

For final exams, I missed about an hour of one due to train issues. I still finished and did well enough but I was still given a chance to redo a different final exam but the part where the trains broke down for ages and I wasn't the only one with this story supported my story greatly.
(hopefully you'll get a chance to take it, the finals are worth way too much)
