I was just thinking that video games are awesome.
Art, Literature, Music, Theater, Cinema, etc. etc. - they each have their uses, and each one is better at making you feel something different, or are better suited to portray certain stories, but overall I find video games to be a great combination of these art forms.
Maybe I'm a little biased though :P

Trying to think which 250 GB Xbox 360 to buy after crimbo. For the same price I can either get:
A 'Normal' 250 GB Console with:
-1 Controller
-NFS Hot Pursuit
-Medal of Honour
or the 'Limited Edition' Halo Reach console with:
-2 controllers
-Headset
-Halo Reach
-Different design on the 360 itself.
Either way I'm going to buy a HD->VGA cable and maybe another cheap game on top of it to make it total £300.

i think the lesson here is get a new game idea. you have more than 30 games in the same series, and it's getting pretty fuckin' old.
i would be okay with there not being any more final fantasy-verse shit. it all went to hell after 6 anyway.

Personally, I think they should stop focusing on the spinoff titles and devote their attention to the main series. Stop creating so many spinoff titles that don't mean a damn thing except another buck in your pocket.
Square-Enix has so many video game properties that are not getting any attention. While I love Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts, fucking make something else for a change. Give Mana, Chrono, and SaGa a chance. Or make a new IP that is actually worth a damn. The Last Remnant was buggy as hell, while Nier wasn't as great as it could've been. The only SE games worth anything nowadays, IMO, are on the DS. I prefer playing Matrix Software's remakes than most of SE's new efforts on the consoles, and that is saying something (no offense to Matrix, who own).

Unfortunately, the game was a mess on the 360. My PC would probably explode before I pop TLR in. :\
They totally renovated it. Basically everything except the story itself was fundamentally changed.
Did they? Because I bought TLR for the 360 and I'm so infuriated with it I'm pretty much going to pirate it for the PC and not feel the slightest bad about it.
