heartgold/soulsilver is pretty quick, from my perspective at least.
diamond/pearl/platinum had some laggy-ass slow battles though.
Never play the Japanese version. The localizer specifically changed the text to reduce the number of lines that would come up during battle to try and speed up battles (but that was all he could do)

Thinking about why I even come on this site anymore. My download limit got knocked down to almost nothing without a slowdown, so the only way I can get stuff is through torrenting it. Seed your games so I can get a hold of them. And other people will appreciate it to, up to a point. (I can seed alter alia genesis and Saga Mara Talon, that's all I got off of my old hunk of shit comp that had all my RM games on it. Alter Alia was recent though.)
Of all the times for the PS3 Blu-Ray drive to stop doing anything, it had to pick RIGHT before Christmas... damn you, you expensive piece of circuitry!!
