I thought pasta was just the generalized term for noodles while spaghetti is a specific type of noodle. But w/e i'm not an expert and don't want to google so that I get pasta ads from now on. Looked for a mazda A YEAR AND A HALF AGO and still nothing but mazda ads.

You are correct about the noodles and spaghetti, not so sure the mazda thing isn't your imagination though. I mean I know google does ads based on recorded info about you, but I didn't think plain old searches affected that. (Also what the hell is wrong with pasta ads, that sounds like kind of a great thing to get ads for)

Because that is a very common and useful thing in programming. I use it all the time.

I used it YESTERDAY, so actually yeah. I can. I'll basically just quote the conversation.

Using the same Move Picture Speed for bullets that must travel different distances makes some move much slower/faster than the others.

Example: Hero stands at bottom middle of the screen.
He shoots a first bullet aimed a screen distance of say, three inches.
He shoots a second bullet aimed a screen distance of say, ten inches.
If I use the same Move Picture Speed of 1.0 seconds for the bullets to reach their destination, the first bullet will appear to fly much slower than the second one.

Instead of 1.0 seconds, the time should be the same as the distance. So it should be a duration of sqrt(dx^2 + dy^2) seconds. Where dx and dy are the x distance and y distance from the shooter to the target.

Let's see... The maximum distance between the hero and an enemy would be roughly 300,220 which gives us about 372 seconds. I'd divide it by 300 to reach a suitable travel time of 1.2 seconds.

(Except then it turned out RM2K3 doesn't have the ability to calculate a square root, so it got messier)
