After 31 years of working at the city of Richmond, B.C. as a supervisor of all zoning, signs, and permits, my dad is finally retiring! Yay!!! :D

His last official day at work is tomorrow and I have to prepare a speech to say in front of a bunch of old people about how much my Dad means to me – and yade, yade, yade!

Hmmm…
I better think of something clever to say – and fast!
Whatever you do, don't do drugs before the speech. :)
Second day of Calculus... What horror is awaiting me ahead? I don't wanna find out. :(
I spent 30 minutes trying to put the new circle lenses into my eyes and I finally gave up. They just stick to my finger or I couldn't open my eyes wide enough. Not to mention I dropped the left one twice so now I had to soak them in the new solution.

Damn it! I can't do anything with my life! :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

This pessimism must be a side effect of this "Calculus" thing.
I'll be sure to burn it sometime.

Detective keep your finger dry and the lens moist when you put it in. Use your left hand index finger to hold your brow up, your right hand ring finger to pull underneath your bottom eyelid and then the right middle finger to put the lens in.

Also try to have something underneath you to catch the lens if you drop it. Nothing worse than blindly pawing around at the floor looking for something that's almost invisible while it slowly dries out into a very expensive plastic flake collecting dust.

tldr I think people like to bring extreme cases to the forefront and paint an exaggerated, immensely generalized picture of common game-making shortcomings as a way of lowering the bar for themselves. it's everyone's obsession lately (I say lately, but it ain't just 'lately') to have something to point at and go "well, at least I'm not that", and I think that's straight-up paralytic to a person's development as an artist.

I never actually thought of it that way. I can't say I disagree with you at all. I'm still compelled to release it, however.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

How do you people motivate yourselves to make the game.
That's what I'm wondering.

There is a theoretical game I have in my head that I think the world would be a better place if it had.

So I try to get as close to it as I can.

Sometimes I get distracted by reddit for months at a time though

Most people don't want to play a game to see what not to do, especially if it's promoted as such. Why not just write a tutorial instead?

That's what I did, but the lens kept bending backward on my finger, or I just couldn't keep my eyes wide enough to fit it in. :( Tonight, I'll try to pull just the lower eyelids, it seems easier that way. And the mirror is above my sink, so when I dropped it, I was so freaked out as I thought of a bunch of germs crawling on it. :(

I didn't know you also use circle lenses. Do you really? :O

I used to a couple years ago, and they were a pain in the ass to start with (I know the horrors of dropping them on a dusty floor, not just in the sink).. Also I needed prescription contacts which were at least £30 a month because my eyes are so awful and I have astigmatism and shit. :D
So you don't wear them anymore. That's kinda sad, since they seem really cool, but it's true that they could be a pain to take care of. Do you know what would happen if you are wearing them, and when you wash your hands, the water accidentally splashes in? The guide says you aren't allowed to let tap water get anywhere near your lenses. :P

I've had rain/tap water on them before and they've been okay, so long as it's just a drop or two. I think that's just a disclaimer so people only ever wash them in lens solution, not tap water. If in doubt just rinse them in the solution before you put them in.

I used to wear monthlies and I'd sleep with them in, so they were probably a lot more resilient than daily lenses.
I say my games are bad when I release them too, to lower people's expectations and protect my ego.

It'll take some gasoline, stoves, and a whole lot a bacon.

Course that's on the lower end of my Priorities list.
