How much did you hate me originally?
I hated you about 0, and factoring in the percentage which is usually a multiplication and multiplying 0 by anything is still 0, I've never hated you to begin with!

LOL! xD

Oh by the way I'm thinking I want to get Ducktales Remastered now.

It's more accurate. Or is it? You'll never know - this we know to be true.
Finally got my CS assignment done! Last night I was still pulling my hair out over it. :D Now, the only thing left is Calculus...

By the way, one of my English assignment is to tell someone a joke and have them rate it. Can I post it here for you guys? ;)
I'm curious, fire away Mr. D!
It's a really simple joke, but the point is to get us to be more confident when talking. So, yeah, sorry to disappoint you. :P

"A father is writing checks to pay his bills and said: Everything is going up. Gas is going up. Food is going up. Electricity is going up. Clothes are going up. Doctor bills are going up. I 'd be happy if just one thing went down.

'Okay, pop', said his young son. I guess now is a good time to show you my report card."

Hm... ;)
I giggled a little that was decent! Uh, it would've been better without any errors you made while typing but it's all good.
So, with me designing Mr. Red and thinking up his game, I came to a realization. I can't make bullet hell without first learning how to make bullet hell. So i picked up Touhou Danmakufu, got it to work, founda nice and thorough tutorial, and I'm currently going through it.

At the end of the section I just finished, there was a practical exercise that was basically "do whatever the fuck you want, as long as you use the functions you just learned". So I did. Had to look up documentation on the wiki because I couldn't quite figure out the AddShot function. Eventually I came up with this:

I'm starting to think I might have a knack for this. I'm actually proud of this pattern.

Oh, and I know it's a bit confusing, but the boss is really there in the center. It's just that I haven't learned the draw functions yet, so it's nothing but hitboxes right now.

Uh... I didn't make any errors, or at least I hope I didn't. That should be the exact same thing that was given. What errors were there? :O

Oops, I notice one mistake, but that should be it. ;)

Oh, on the scale of 1 to 5, how would you rate it? :P
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

The joke was terrible, but in a good way. 3 out of 5?

No one actually says "pop" except in sitcoms from the 1950s, but this joke sounds like it's from a sitcom from the 1950s, so it fits perfectly.

The only real errors I see are missing quotation marks. You're missing three of them. Can you find all three? (Also, the comma after "pop" should be before the quotation mark, not after it. That's an extremely minor issue that a lot of native english speakers can't get right. But if you're turning it in for a class, fix it.)
Yeah, I'd give it a 3 out of 5 as well.
Edit: And LockeZ found the errors I was referring to, so there's that.

I would rate it about 2, personally. :O

By the way, the professor is over 60 years old, so I guess that makes sense. I also realized where the three missing quotation marks are: Before the word "everything", "I", and after "down". It's suppose to be a speaking assignment, but good to know what was missing. :D

Oh, so your professor wrote the joke?

You should just tell a better joke instead.

Here's my best Chuck Norris joke:
"Did you know that Chuck Norris invented the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?

One time, on a dare, he swallowed four whole live snapping turtles, and when he crapped them out a few hours later, they'd grown six feet tall and learned karate."

...you should probably get a joke from someone else.

So, with me designing Mr. Red and...

It is just a demo of the boss, right? Because good boss shouldn't be with just one stage/attack pattern and can't be defeated this easily. Anyway, looks like you have a good potential with this one. :)

Yeah, of course! I'm not even all the way through the tutorial yet. I'm just making stuff as I learn new stuff. That's just one of many attack patterns, one I did to put into practice what I learned about using bullet IDs and settting behaviors to alter the movement of the bullets after firing them. (In this case, making them back up a bit then explode.) As the title indicates, it's my third.

Second one, while pretty, will either result in obvious blindspots or sections that are impossible to dodge, depending on how I set the rotation variables, so I didn't bother uploading it. It was a total failure. First one, I was pretty much following instructions, so I can't really take credit for it, but it's here:

When I'm done learning the functions I need (including draw functions so you can actually see what you're shooting at), I'm gonna put together a bunch of patterns to make a proper boss fight. which will likely include soem variation of my third pattern. Right now, I'm just messing around. It's a good thing this engine lets me load individual patterns. Makes playtesting less of a pain in the ass.

EDIT: You know what, screw that! I took a few minutes to take my second pattern and make something decent out of it. Recycled the bullet generation code, tweaked some variables, added some randomness... It doesn't really look like its older brother now, other than the fact that it fires in circular patterns. Still nowhere near as good as the third, but at least now it's neither trivial nor impossible.

Here's my best Chuck Norris joke:

Chuck Norris went into a restaurant and ordered a steak.
The steak did what it was told.

Everyone calls it pop. Only yokels and Archie comics from the 40s still call it 'soda'. How quaint!
Oh Firefox, you memory hog, you.

I guess it's time to switch back to Safari.
