My name is Thomas, and this post is Thomas' post. When adding an apostrophe after names, where the name ends in 's', the addition of another 's', while technically correct, is unnecessary.
You need to repeat 4th grade.

787 pages in, I don't think that's a concern.
This thread... it just gets more and more amazing every time I check on it.

Also, stumbled across this:

A teenager decides to impress his brother by taking a corner in the family SUV without properly applying the breaks. Elsewhere, a loud squealing noise is heard which stirs a nearby resident. Stepping outside to see what all the fuss is about, he notices a well-defined tread-mark now scars the road and a boy and his father are assessing the damage while the boy claims that he "tried to tell him not to". It's April 20th.

Which was the likely cause for the teenager's reckless action: pot or video games? You decide.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

April 20 is Easter, so... clearly he was spurred to reckless driving by the so-called "lessons" imparted by his sunday school teacher, yes?

Hey, the fact that I stopped maturing in 4th grade is a totally different issue. That doesn't cause me to have grammatical trouble, it just makes me think that a ninja having a swordfight against a robot while they're standing on top of a missile that's flying through the air is totally awesome.
It was clearly the devil and his drug flaunting ways. Probably Hitlers fault too. But video games? If it was video games the teenager would be beating up pedestrians and trying to lose their wanted levels.

Well, just a brief point on that, it's the executive meeting strapped to a flying ballistic missile that makes me groan in despair. Sometimes there's a reason nobody else has done it. The ninja swordfighting the robot on the missile in flight, though...yeah, that rocks.

Edit: Happy Easter! Blessed Ostara!

Grammar. Your going to make mistakes. When someone told me (whom I consider in high regards) I need to work on my grammar, I never forgot about it, every time I reread something that I wrote with spelling errors, I have that shadow lurking behind me. Dumb ass, spell right, proofread your shit. But, even when I proofread, I make up the right words that are actually missing when I'm reading something that's off.

I am not a English master though, I make mistakes all the time. I don't even know how to use semicolons. I am terrible, terrible. But what I learned, is if I can do better I should.

The English language is ever evolving, ever changing, and so are the rules.

Example, I remember my English teacher telling me to never end a sentence on a preposition (I don't particularly care in casual conversation, but when writing poetry, I follow this rule to the letter because the alternative is aesthetically much more pleasing), only to learn that that was a Latin rule that actually doesn't apply to English. It's the same story for the split infinitive. That rule actually only applies to Latin.

English rules can also be bent by the writer for aesthetic purposes. Revisiting the split infinitive brings one of the most famous examples to mind: "To boldly go where no man has gone before." Well, when gauging a rule, one is supposed to ask, "How does one boldly," but here the split infinitive is correctly used. How can I say that? First, the writer chose to disregard this rule because by doing so, it aesthetically balances the sentence. Also, you will note that changing it to "To go boldly..." breaks the rhythm of the sentence.

This is certainly true.
Yeah, misspelling words and having your own style is sweet, if you know your doing it and why, that I can appreciate (adding ish to the end of a word, whatever the hell you want). What I don't appreciate is some dumb ass intentionally derailing themselves for the ease of shortcuts, or getting criticism about your grammar. I do have to say though, their is a good chance I won't give a shit if you do it yourself. But I give a shit when someone tells me so.

Now let's keep watching this a 100 times :P.
