Mirak, whilst you may not be able to do anything about the course I would suggest giving that feedback to the people who developed it. If someone is going to narrate coursework they have to be as free of accents as possible and enunciate clearly, not everyone who signs up for a course, especially online is gong to be a native English speaker. Ideally whomever is narrating should be using RP (received pronunciation) since it is a regionless, clearly enunciated and uses standard English without regional affectations or turns of phrase.

Well it's either you or me, but I take it you've read the comments from myself and Shayoko (and his response), and given his other game got a .5 start review and seemed to be rife with misogyny and discrimination you know what you are getting into.

I'm going to play it if for nothing than to confirm Shayoko's claim of sexual abuse that hasn't been signposted in the description as it probably should be. If you want to share the pain with me, go ahead.

We already discussed the game and concluded that it wasn't bad enough to be denied (when it came to the sexual examples - he sent videos of the worst scenes so we could check). That said, he is supposed to be marking it so that it's easy to see. I'll have a word with him to make it more predominant on the page. ( :/ )

Okay, I always check about questionable lines in the descriptions of games - trigger lines that could mean one thing or another - and I was told by the guy that there was one scene that dealt with rape. I told him to tone it down. I also asked about the sex scenes and he told me that it wasn't too major.

I am now going to play the game myself and document the details because from the sound of it, it was represented differently to how it plays out. For now it's denied, pending a closer checking.

That said, keep in mind that we do allow adult stuff on the site - we don't want to tell people how to make their games or curb artistic expression, though we also don't want people to go too far and stray into insensitive expression of various topics. There are going to be games out there that are more mature in nature that will be allowed on the site. It's hard to judge just by description and screenshots just whether or not a game is too much.

I'd flagged this one initially and sought feedback on it from the other staff and we concluded that as long as the creator wasn't lying about the content, it would be fine. We are going to get people who don't represent their game content completely honestly and up-front, though, for whatever reason (shock-factor, not wanting people to judge before playing, etc) but we do ask that games be tagged properly in the case that there are certain issues contained within.

I'll get to the bottom of this. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Yeah, thanks Libby. I can see it being an okay topic to cover if it does not go overboard. I am also in favor of making games specifically catering to a specific part of the audience .. but if you aim for that, you have to make it clear.
