@nhubi, this forum is a very hard place to debate rape since there are several young people who come here. Also, as unity said "clarity is a very important when communicating" so I do not often get into this kind of discussion.
I've read many of your posts and refuse to get into a discussion with you because I believe your education to be far better than mine and do not want to be made to look like a fool :)

Let me just say, in real life, rape is about the most rotten thing one human can do to another.
Having said that, there are many thousands of people who went to live shows with Eddie Murphy and comedians like him and roar with laughter at jokes that might make people like yourself cringe.
At my age, I've seen, heard, read, watched, etc all kinds of things and some humor where rape is concerned does not bother me since it is humor and not real life.
YES, the game should have been labled properly. It's down at the moment but I seem to remember it was made pretty clear it was a game for older people and did mention there was swearing and rape involved.
I never named the potty mouthes because it was not my place. This is an open and free forum. If the people who control that want to allow it, I will not complain because I also use that language, just not in mixed company.

As for that game, it wasn't jokes. It... It wasn't jokes at all. I finished playing it and, dear lord, wow. I mean, I'm leaving it up to the other staff to weigh in on the content but just a quick note of what I experienced:
- Every woman wants to fuck you. The ones that don't aren't given a choice and then change their mind after the act. In more than one case a woman actually says no and is still raped or forced to do it by having their lives threatened if they don't.
- Almost all of the NPCs revolve around sexual encounters - either by being the men he cuckolds/kills to get to the women or being the women he fucks. There are a few exceptions but those are either killed or have one-line parts. For the most part every NPC exists to be killed/fucked/fucked over by the main character.
- About 5 women have names, otherwise they're called either Woman, Whore, Bitch, etc. One case, Witch (the only interesting character in the game who had any promise and was then subjugated ffs), has no name and begs him to name her after he fucks her into submission.
- There's a gay guy who offers a blow job then gets killed and called a faggot. In fact, faggot is used a few times in the game, all in a demeaning/insulting manner towards men.
- He encourages a little boy to go and have sex with a little girl (after raping his mother in front of him, btw), then you can find the boy pounding the girl from behind. FFS. What is this shit?!
Really, it's horrible. There's so much more but those are some of the 'highlights'. I feel like I need to apply brain bleach.

Linkis, this forum is a place to discuss any number of subjects, rape is simply one of them, but I wouldn't call it debate. Given the simple primer, anything that doesn't have implicit or explicit consent is rape, no debate is necessary. Throwing there are 'young people; who frequent this place into the mix is nonsensical. The maker of the game that kicked this all off would qualify in your terms as a young person and given the list that Liberty just made about the content of that game, he is exactly the sort of person that should be exposed to a discussion about what is or isn't rape. He stated in a reply to me on the game page that all the sex in the game was consensual. He obviously does not understand what that means, and therefore needs to be educated, because irrespective of a game, he is a living breathing member of our society who thinks that forcing a woman to have sex in front of her child against her will is OK, as long as she says thank you afterwards, and then that child should then go and perpetrate the same horrific act on another child. This is not OK.
The disclaimer on the game did not mention rape and it certainly didn't mention child abuse which is what one child abusing another falls into, it mentioned sex. That's what all of this was about.
If you don't wish to enter into a discussion that is your right, but please take the following on board. Don't presume that because you are in your late sixties that you have lived a more varied life than I have, which is your inference, the only call you can make there is that you've been living it longer. You don't know my life experiences, you only know your own, and really please don't make a judgement call about 'people like yourself'. Since you know next to nothing about me, it would be impossible to fit me into a group of like-minded people if one even existed.

Yes, as I posted before it was really gross in the way the Hawkman spoke to and about the women in the game and I acknowledged that. I also said I agreed that it needed to let anyone who was checking it out that it was abusive to women.
I also posted that some people were able to understand it was also humorous just as some who go see the stage performers who are utterly crude in their type of humor.
I can not agree that almost anything should be discussed on this forum where young people who are impressionable can read some of the things discussed in the way they are on this forum considering how often some go on rants and speak about certain topics in the base way they do.
No everyone does that but a few do go overboard and speak as if they know everything about the subject and everyone needs to agree with them.
