WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

Posts

Oh? Try this one then: http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/5673/

It's got everything to do with game submissions and how to get your game on the site. If you have questions, though, PM me and I'll add them to a list of things I'm gonna do some articles about in the near future (or add the information to the relevant sections).
I just reread that page (because...I don't know why...) and I suddenly have this urge to only describe games in iambic pentameter now.

I should use this forum more often. Long enough semi-hiatus...

How's Holmes vs Moriarty life going?
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Hush, you'll scare him away! That's why he doesn't use it!

Oops, I'll go edit my post to something non-threatening then.

So i'm working on my no-rm entry and now i absolutely regret not getting the game maker studio key that came with the game making humble bundle. I didn't buy it because i thought i wouldn't use game maker anymore but now that i'm actually using it again i'm recalling why i loved it as a program.

Oh well. I hope it'll come in a future bundle like seven years from now.

Well Holmes vs. Moriarty life is going alright. People really like it, which is nice, and the CNE exhibit was a hit! I'm working on an 8-page guest spot on Black Hole Hunter's Club webcomic which is due before November. Thank god, too! NaNoWriMo is fast approaching and I feel the urge to write again.

Now that the busy crap is coming to a close, I'm thinking the next Battledome or whatever comes, will be in January or so. Bun-Bo 2 is still ongoing... Can't really budge until that is over.

How're you dudes doing? Excited for the new RM? I sure am!

Actually I'm excited for NaNoWriMo. I fell over into a black hole last year and failed in all of my personal goals, but this year I'm in a much better place. I'm averaging 1500-2000 words a day that I'm happy with (actually writing around twice that and then bludgeoning it to something both succinct and coherent), so I believe I'll hit the 50K within the month and still produce something reasonable.

As opposed to my (currently) overblown novel which is sitting at 400K words and still isn't finished. I'm thinking it's going to be the thing they use for kindling on my funeral pyre in 60 years (at which stage it'll be 2.5 million words long).

Also serious yay and kudos on Holmes vs Moriarty life, well done you, it's only what you deserve.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

The test itself can only correctly predict sexual orientation 67% of the time, and only works for twins. I'm not entirely sure how useful that is, but epigenetics isn't really my thing.

Seeing as guessing straight every time makes you right in over 70% of cases, that means the test is complete garbage.

Wouldn't that number be 90% or more?

I'm not quite sure what the number is exactly, but I'm pretty sure that slightly under 30% of people are either homosexual or bisexual. It could be that only 10% is homosexual though.

Look at it from the other angle. If you consider that gay people only make up 5-10% of the population depending on who you ask, then correctly guessing that they're gay 67% of the time doesn't look so bad.

Well, I assume people are picked at random, because that's the only way to test the effectiveness of a test that makes the slightest lick of sense.

Edit: Huh, I must have found that data in a really obscure place then.
But it would also mean that they would have gotten it right more if they just guessed straight all the time. I can't say that's very impressive, but then again researchers do silly stuff like research if gathering every human on the same spot andeveryone jumping at the same time and farting would cause the earth to go out of orbit, so I guess it's at least better than that.
Oh, that makes some sense then.
