WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

Ah, so you probably got a healthy dose of The Who, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Beach Boys, Doors, Hendrix, Bobby Darin, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, etc.
Yes to all of those, and more. There's a bunch of country mixed in, as well as some Aussie bands too. And Elvis but everyone knows Elvis so...
You mean like The Clovers, The Penguins, or Bobby Darin (I know his more famous songs tended to be big band, but he still had songs like Dream Lover and Splish Splash)?
I'm not great with names of songs or singers - I barely know the names of the bands I love! Play a tune and I'll know it and probably be able to sing along with it, but I'm horrible at those quizzes that require you to know the names of the song/singer/date of release/etc. XD
Same with actors. Say x character and I'll go "Oh, yeah, that actor!" but say a name at me and most of the time I'll be wondering who you mean. ^.^;
If the doowop you mean, linkis, is the one that goes: I met him on a Monday and my heart stood still, da doo ron ron ron da doo ron ron~ Somebody told me that his name was Bill, da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron~
Then yes, I know the one. There's a lot of doo rah rah ron ron wap wap woo songs out there. XD

Thanks in no small part to Linkis, I've got the song "Who Put the Bomp" stuck in my head, and I will now give the gift to the rest of you...

Didn't think o' that one, didja m8!?
Also I should tell you all about my friend Kurtis, (actually spelled Curtis but I give his fictional character a K because it looks cool) we went to two timezones (game arcades) on Friday, played Air Hockey a bunch, some duck hunt, some more gamble-ish games, some basketball, but I think the most fun I had with was test your strength, not because I'm any good at it (I resemble barbed wire with all the sheathing stripped off) but because I love being able to fulfill my impulses for cartoon violence.
It was a great day!
In school on the Wednesday before someone asked us if we were friend from school or something, so I guess we've clicked pretty well over the last 12 weeks.
We snark each other like crazy, discuss a bunch of stuff, mostly related to games or puzzles, and commonly go to Churro's (Chocolate restaurant, no I'm not kidding they exist!) or a Pancake plaza to eat if I'm in the mood for some malnutrition-based self-destruction.
I thought about something we can add to the site:
1. Reviewer vs. Community score
The former will be prominently displayed and function just as ever. The second is on the game page under the review score (1 to 5 stars as usual) and shows the rating of all members - all registered users can vote a score there without having to write anything or get approval (however, no makerscore will be awarded). Some may trust one source over the other.
2. Difficulty Rating
A second category besides the score - difficulty itself does not necessarily affect the quality of a product, but some people might be infuriated by a well-written game if the gameplay is either a mindless chore or so difficult that they can't make it through. This is how I'd rank a game's difficulty:
1 - Trivial
There's minimal to no effort required to progress in the game. The only actions a player needs to do usually involves pressing through dialogue or moving around.
2 - Easy
The game requires a general understanding how the mechanics work, but never really demands any depth in it. Battles will usually involve spamming a skill (usually, the default attack) over and over. Puzzles are very basic and can quickly be solved at first glance.
3 - Medium
The game forces you to pay attention to what's happening on the screen, but it doesn't take any deep thinking how to pass obstacles. Battles generally require some setup before attack spam and Puzzles require you stop acting and think for a moment.
4 - Hard
A good amount of mastery of the mechanics is required to progress. Battles will force you to change your tactics to react to the opponent and Puzzles may leave you stumped for a good amount of time.
5 - Brutal
The game makes no attempt to be forgiving to you - you will need to get the most out of every option to make it to the end. Battles require you to constantly anticipate your opponent's actions. Puzzles require careful studying before making a move.
If the battles or puzzles are much easier/harder than the other, rate the game by what is higher.

I went to see a few friends i hadn't seen since i finished college.
We were listening some music on my friend's ps3 (that you can connect to it from your cellphone to play songs is pretty great) when a friend we call big mom pulled out a small metal box from her closet and brought out an ounce of weed and forging utensils. She made my friend viggo roll a joint and they closed all doors and windows, then lighted it up and started passing it around.
I was indecisive over if i should partake of the devil's lettuce or not, but in the end i said what the heck and participated in the passing ritual. It had been like what, 5, 6 years since i smoked that stuff, so it hit me pretty hard. I was inert laid down on the floor (there were not enough chairs or space on the bed for all of us so some of us were sitting and laid down on the floor) staring into space, and i figured out a solution for a coding error i was experiencing with some features of the enemies of the game i'm making for the no-rm event.
When i got home, still pretty buzzed, i coded the solution in and ran the game. Everything worked perfectly. Then i had a few ideas of what other things to add and added them. I progressed a lot in my game today and i feel happy for it.

Sometimes I have a similar experience when I am in a fitful rest. I'll be tossing and turning, and in my more lucid moments I will recognize that I've been turning over in my head some code I had written that day. Sometimes I'll recognize that what I imagined was different in some way, and I'll think about whether it was an improvement or not. Often, I will have dreamed of something simply removed.
A lot of my better ideas come about that way.

Thought I may tell you to do a search for Doowop on Google but I did and found the above....never even knew that was on UTube. Some really nice dance music, especially if you're into slow dancing with a significant other :)

From my knowledge, nothing aside from the difficulty score proposition is anything we haven't already discussed and shot down time and time again. KISS, man. The current system works.

Sounds amazing, aside from the whole laid-out-on-the-ground-useless part.
If it's fine with you, I'll stick to

Sometimes I like to slow dance with myself. :)

I'm not smillin' cause sometimes, if the right tune is on the radio or TV.....I find myself doing the same thing.

I'm smiling, because I, too, do the same. I think everyone, at some point in their lives, dances with themselves.
It always amazes me - the small things that people have in common with each other no matter who they are or where they come from. It's just amazing to think of all the shared experiences we have that we don't even realise until we sit down and talk with each other or just shoot the breeze and happen to mention. No matter how different the culture~
Of course, it never ceases to surprise me when it comes to some of the differences we have, even cultures that seem very similar. Humanity can be pretty damn awesome sometimes.

Oh great, now I have to stuff my face two times a year. That being said, if someone obeyed every festival from around the world, they'd probably be dead before year's end.

You should submit this story as an RMN article
I'll put it on my list of things to do if i'm inebriated past the point of reason.
I wonder how the black dancers that gather in my city's main park can move their heads and necks without moving their shoulders. I'd like to be able to do that too but i can't. My shoulders move as well.

Oh its thanksgiving? Welp, happy thanksgiving guys!
I went out for a walk late today, really nice breeze and stuff. Brisbane Suburbia is really great for daily strolls.
