Dude, just go to your local comics store and sign up to join games. You don't have to know people to play games and occasionally act like a complete idiot with them.

I have all the games from the humble indie bundle 16 and that makes me sad.
I can't wait for the next bundle. I get most of my games from there.
Final fantasy xii any good? Found the collectors edition for $1.50

Never played FF before heh

Some would disagree with me, but I would be all over an FF XII collectors edition for a buck and change.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

FFXII has good music, at least.

But seriously, while it may be considered the worst FF to date by quite a few people, a collector's edition of anything is definitely worth a buck and a half.

Go buy.
Welp I'll just sell it and make a pretty penny

If it's not in mint condition definitely play it first, though. There are quite a few people who really like the game too, even if many don't.
It's quite good bar the story/characters. I mean, some of the characters are great, but others... not so much.

The gameplay is where it's at, and the environments, and the sound/music, and the guild quests. They're all great. Just, not as strong a contender as some other Final Fantasies in the past.

Kirby has a new game coming out that involves driving in robot suits and the industrialized apocalypse of Dreamland.

This was my dream. My day was made.

I have 300 hours spent on FFXII. honestly I think it's a great game. Though the story in FFX was better to me but that's just my opinion.

Okay, seriously? Vaan is the only annoying one, but FF games always have one idiot. Cait Sith in FFVII, Tidus in FFX (FFVIII was the surprising one. FF is great at making lovable, compelling waifus--I mean, Yuffie and Rikku are among my top favorite characters--, but I couldn't help but hate Selphie). Okay, FFIX didn't have any really bad characters as such.

I mean, XII has it's own version of Han Solo and Chewbacca...granted, if Chewbacca was a sexy bunny and eventually married Han. You cannot pass up Balthier and Fran. Your life is incomplete without knowing them.

After reading Chapter 818 of OP, I feel the need to fanboy about deets a little bit. I would post this in the One Piece thread, but it would be a pretty hefty necro at this point. So it's going here instead.

Heavy spoilers for One Piece:

So many bombs dropped in this chapter. After a while of feeling sort of sluggish, things are now really starting to get rolling again, with both a direct mention of Raftel AND of One Piece itself.

The concept of the "Road Poneglyphs" is really neat, and it's a great way to tie up a lot of the loose ends of the overarching plot of the series- the most damning of which being the ever present questions of "Why is it different/strange to get to Raftel?" and "Why doesn't X Yonko just go to Raftel if they're right at the end of the Grand Line?"

Putting two of the Road Poneglyphs in the hands of Kaido and Big Mom makes a lot of sense as well, since that's most definitely the sort of thing a Yonko would hoard and look to own, as well as being a nice plot relevant reason for Luffy to become engaged in a fight with each of them other than "because they're there".

Honestly, I'd be willing to bet that the "unknown" Road Poneglyph is on Baltigo, since that would explain it not being discovered, provide a good reason to get Baltigo more involved directly with the Strawhats, and give Blackbeard a chance to get in on the Road Poneglyph action. Although it's likely that Oda wants to do something completely different with Blackbeard's Yonko position.

The information regarding Lord Oden reaching Raftel is interesting too, as it implies there's a lot more to the island than just One Piece. We know the true history is there, but it's interesting to hear of someone going there just for that reason alone.

As I said some of the characters are great but hello Ashe, hello TidusVaan, hello side characters who are annoying and I don't care about because whatever dude. (I like Penelo even though most people don't). That your two 'main' characters are annoying twits that the boring-ass story revolves around makes that aspect bleh.

If the story had been about Balthier and Fran kidnapping Penelo to get her out of the trouble that side-character Vaan got her into, and then their zany adventures from there on out while said side-character childhood friend pulled a Biggs'n'Wedge/recurring character dealio, then hell yes, I would play the fuck out of that.

As it was, the story and main characters were the weak point of the game.
Rikku was my favorite in FFX so much so I learned how to speak, and write Al Bhed. Fran is really great though I still wonder what her age is. Ashe is amazing, Penelo...eh took awhile, but I don't see her as annoying anymore.

Hm.

I wanted to say that's weird, but next to a friend's house there's a guy who speaks in klingon, and i know various guys who learned that language from the elder scrolls.

Useless useful skills i guess.

What's really useless is the many people that talent, and yet they waste it.
