Closejust finished watching the latest episode (ep 4) of Koutetsujou no Kabaneri and oh my god this anime is incredible. it's like attack on titan got a good writer and mixed itself with battlestar galactica, but during the end of japan's industrial revolution/modernization.
think "imperial japan is beset with horrifying iron-plated zombies and the remaining humans of a particular city are all shoved into a train." there's some definite criticism of ww2-era japan, i think, which just makes it more interesting. (iron zombies being definitely not american soldiers and one of the main characters being a princess who has to start dealing with the concept of a republic-style government. you could also probably make an argument drawing similarities between hundreds of people being shoved into a train compared to the bataan death march, but maybe that's a bit of a stretch. we'll have to see how it continues developing.)

Really? Where did you get all that from? I think you may be reading way too much into it. For example, how can the iron zombies be a metaphor for American soldiers when they're not a foreign occupying force, but rather a thing that is spreading among the local population... Granted, the scenario, character design, and animation are cool. But I'm still not sold on the anime yet. The story is not even about zombies, it's so blatantly about vampires (With the Kabaneri being your typical good vampires than retain their will and allegiance to mankind) that I don't even have high expectations about it. But we'll see where it goes from here.

This further reinforces why the "no alt accounts" is a good thing, as people seem to resort to them when they want to be an asshole but don't want it associated with their other account. Solution: DON'T BE AN ASSHOLE. :/

That argument... just seems really awkward to me. Like, I've not played that game, so I'm not sure how well it's relayed that the shop exists (Liberty states over and over how she's talked to all the NPCs), or where it is (Liberty states she never found it), or how necessary the stat-pumps that they grant are to beat the witch-boss in question.
Maybe there was some manner of logic in the thinking that the above situation was good, but, to argue that it was, somehow, the player's fault for being overpowered for failing to find the stat-buffs... okay, I'll drop the subject now.

The fact is, that game was a mess. I played the first half when it was submitted and while it was very unpolished, it had some promise. "Perhaps another developer could do something cool with this!" I thought. Then the swap happened and the new developer thought having people scoop cat brains out of their skulls would be edgy.
I didn't find the aforementioned noodle-shop when I played the game either, but if there is one where you can pay to have stats raised, then yes, they should nerf that.
However, when you call someone who busts their ass to run these events and does so much for the site a whore, then it's not about the game anymore. It's about failing to be a decent human being.

Really, I shouldn't have even responded. When someone demeans and insults someone I have a ton of respect for, it pushes my buttons, and I get angry. I shouldn't post while angry as good things generally do not come of it. This seems to be a lesson I need to keep learning >.<;;
