I think sometime around before Star Wars Force Awakens, companies figured out that kids will play with anything, and stopped trying.
My wife doesn't mind collecting them in spite of their lackluster quality. XP

Age of Ultron was a little better but still shit. But what it really is, is Hasbro.
They got lazy and greedy and started pumping out way too much merch and shit.

DudesoftRatty524It's easily the best super hero movie. It's so tight and focused on the story, instead of the random ramblings that lead to other sequel/spin offs, or long pause scenes like BvS was carved out of.
Going to see the new Captain America Movie soon. I hope it's as good as people say it is.

Oh, I know. What was I saying the other day about MCU films being enjoyable eye-candy with little nurtritional value? Doesn't apply to Civil War. Civil War actually makes the effort to tell a story that gives the action a purpose, and does it well. And, WOW that TWIST ENDING!
Just saw it. I didn't understand some things due to missing out on Age of Ultron, but DAMN it was good. It's one of the few action movies out right now that actually gives a damn about its story.

There is nothing wrong with Tobey Maguire, nothing. Yet the makers want to throw him under bus, in spite of him being a perfectly decent actor. :\
They choose to replace him with that...that bland nobody.
Yeah. I'll start with I've never been a fan of Spiderman in general but I think Toby was excellent and for whoever decided to keep fucking switching out the actor is retarded. I don't care about all these new spiderman movies.
Just wait til one of the better modelling companies decides to do a run of toys/figurines instead. Kids will play with anything, but collectors have their runs too and there are some companies who realise that and actually put effort into creating stuff for them... though it can take a while and they do cost more than the toys.
