Agreed. It was annoying even in Breath of Fire II. The means to get it, and what it does for you.You have your own town already without it flying around the world, which you have teleport spells for, anyway, and you have to beat a tough boss without hitting some OLD MAN even once, and, to top it off, the township takes the place of Ryu guarding the entrance to Infinity. YES.
An entire town blocks the monsters from escaping, but the poor citizens of Dologany! What of them? I have probably offended Jakester now, so I'll be quiet.
The Real Men Network is just that fun! It's almost summer/winter holidays, anyway.

I have yet to beat BoFII with Township in the air, but the up side is you get the best ending?

Ingrid Michaelson has a really, really good voice. Like half of her songs are pretty meh (though the other half is great) it's her voice that carries 'em and makes them at least a little bit more listenable. This is the first time I've heard a musician and care more about their voice than the actual song and/or lyrics.

Trident Demons are really easy: Duck their first swing, sweep and that'll knock 'em out of their combo and they'll just repeat it as long as they're holding it (aka don't pummel them since they'll drop it and start doing the worst grab in the game).
The problem is when you're in a little electric cage with other people who like to interrupt your anti-Trident Demon combo right before he swings and you get hit. :(
