Notice the child's head in proportion to the body.
Typical adult anatomy dictates that the width of the shoulders is about the width of three heads. Here, you can see a child's barely more than one head wide! Bare that in mind, when drawing children.
Also, of note, the amount of space on a head the face takes up on a human is proportional to the age...
