ROMANCE

Hmm... I can think of a lot of RPGs where romance is a secondary part of the story, but not ones where it's the main focus.

In "The Way" series, love is the force that drives a lot of the main characters. The game itself is more about self-mindrape than romance, though. Definitively interesting, though, if you can forgive Gainax endings.

I wouldn't say Romancing Walker is 'sexist', but its romances are basically your typical harem shonen anime. If you dislike them, you won't like this game either.

Laxius Power's "romance" is just wannabe fap material.

Talking about more recent games, there's some romance in Vacant Sky, though it becomes very important only in one of the possible endings...

And calunio's suggestion IS technically right.

Right, Play Romancing Walker, I don't know where you found this review, but it really doesn't fit the game at all : R W is an innocent, fun, difficult, hyperclassical rpgs, where women have all their place (just a little bit stereotypical : the hard-headed brunette, the very altruistic future nurse, in that mode... nothing to scream about as sexism goes...!).
Perhaps I just a bit picky but I thought it sounded sexist in the way all the girls are in love with one guy and there no other man focus other than that no self- respecting group of girls would go for the same guy. I like a rpg that has romance but it's not the whole main focus of the game. No other rpg I seem to read about here contains it except vacant sky but have played them all they were awesome.
If I remember well, it depends on the player... you can pursue romance with only one girl and be a good friend of the others withouth them falling if love with you, if you want. I think. I played it long ago.

That's right, in fact the women are not in love with the hero, but the hero can choose to have them fall in love with him (or almost always if I remember right). They're also much more than that. They're excellent fighters, some much better ones than the hero. They're 100% party members, and also relate to one another. The sim bit is just a + in the game.
If you're looking for an RPG that focuses on romance and characters but aren't too picky about graphics, check out Clouded Heart. It's not on the site but a quick Google search will help you find it.

Love and War is a good romantic plot but probably wait until the new version comes out (it shouldn't be too far away and is worth the wait).

Three, the Hard Way has a decent romance and it's built up over the course of the game. It is also one of the few RM games that actually made me cry. >.<

Romancing Walker, as already stated, isn't that bad. Sure, the main character has his pick of the girls, but you have to really work for their affections so it's kinda like a real relationship. And it's better to focus on just one and just be nice to the others when an event with them pops up, than try to 'get them all'. (In my LP I was aiming for all of them so that the watchers would have a choice who Ryle ended up with. You shouldn't do that. XD )

Aurora isn't a bad game either. It's quite old but it has a decent romance plot. There's a link to it in the Rare Games topic. It's relatively short, so give it a go.

Yeah, but definitely try out Clouded Heart. It's one of my favourite RM games. The story is really well done and the graphics do get better as the game goes along. Also, the characters are great. :3

Well I don't know if you'd like this one but you could still try Hybris 2nd Awakening from Lucien. Believe me, It's hilarious.

A Blurred Line

Three The Hard Way...maybe? I can't remember.
The best romance in games happens at the end of the game when a character who showed absolutely zero interest in another character throughout finally professes their love for them in the most awkward wtf moment you can imagine. Wtf moments are pure win.

This. There is a huge character cast in The Way and half of them are involved in romantic subplots. As far as it being 'female friendly' goes, I don't think you should have any problems with it. One of the female characters tends to exploit her sexuality, but it's not anything unrealistic. Just give it a try if you haven't already... It's one of the best rpg maker games you will ever play.
Hey I'm new here and I was hoping one of you guys might help me I looking for a RPGMaker VX Ace Game that has a Human Male hero and Elven Female in Deepth Romance story line to it preferably with still image of them kissing and doing other couples related stuff as cut scenes.
And I'd love to know of one with a human male hero and a human male in depth romance story line to it preferably with still image of them kissing and doing other couples related stuff as cut scenes!
I think you're thinking of Romancing Walker.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.
