CloseOh trust me, I'm pretty sure I've overworked myself plenty on this lol. When one ability takes you about a month to code, and you got 3 separate versions of it, that's 3 months of straight coding....yeah lol. That's what I've been doing the past 3 months actually is for those 3 abilities! Add onto that back in November, I took about 1-2 months to revamp the skill system (and that may get nullified to a degree if I go with a Skill Shop system...which may take a while to do too), as well as half of the other crap...oh yeah, I've overworked myself hardcore lol. @_@
I did plan to make a sequel after this game, but I doubt it'll ever happen unless I got massive help on it or something (I don't even have the story for that one as fleshed out as the current one either...there's actually NOTHING thought up for it). @_@
If there is one thing I CAN say about me, is that my mapping really really sucks, but I think I'm pretty decent with my storytelling, considering I've been dealing with storytelling from my own story that I've been working on for 18 years, and including all of the games/stories I've played/read...yeah lol. Did I mention that my mapping sucks really badly? :v

I'm still always shocked when people complete my game and that's 12 - 20 hours long and I made it in a month. I don't really think people finish games on here unless they involve a lot of fan game-ism like graphics and characters.
Otherwise I'd say make a game 20 hours. It's not tough at all. You can do that with 5 towns and 5 dungeons. Final Fantasy 1 used to claim 99 hours with 13 dungeons.

I think I've hit around 15-20 hours worth of game time alone on the current beta for mine lol. And that's only 50% of the entire game.
I do think that, thinking on it now, the earlier FFs (taking Final Fantasy as an example since that's my most known RPG) have a lot more to do and less dungeons than say, FFVII/IX/X did and still kept a lot of time going to them...or maybe I'm just imagining things and they're about equal irregardless @_@
