MAFIA: ROUND 2 (LOUNGE/SIGN-UPS)
Posts
I only successfully protected Marrend. I actually switched from someone else on Night 1 in protecting, but I can't remember who now! If I hadn't switched I might've saved someone haha.
Also, Night...4? The first one where I protected rabitZ was the one I was tossing up between Shinan and rabitZ, but you know...Squall. Plus Shinan had been acting odd at times, and despite rabitZ's screw up with Trihan he seemed genuinely repentant about it.

If you don't mind, I could do a sort of unofficial analysis of everyone. Not that I would want to give the awards just the individual analysis. Please?
Sure, why not?

Yellow Magic
rabitZ
A more unfortunate player. Due to a framer, rabitZ investigated Trihan and he turned out guilty. In their excitement, rabitZ rallied his companions to lynch Trihan resulting in a mislynch. rabitZ doubted himself until LockeZ was lynched but didn't seem to help much afterwards anyway.
Happy
Happy is a lttle hard to read as he was fairly aggressive on Day 1 and died by Yellow Magic's hand. He was fairly helpful and accurate with what he DID say though.
CAVE_DOG_IS_BACK
The "rabitZ being insane thing" was mainly his fault as he doubted that someone could be a cop and a bulletproof. He was also on the mafia's tail throughout a lot of the game in which he was alive. Unfortunately, even though he was revived, the cannibals weren't quite done eating him apparently and he only really played for two days. When he was revived he acted as the town leader.
SorceressKrysty
Krysty was one of the last survivors who made few mistakes along the way. One of which being protecting a cannibal night 1 putting the village at risk. There was a semi victory for Krysty night 5 when the mafia targeted rabitZ and Krysty prevented any deaths from happening. Though, rabitZ bulletproof does supercede Krysty's protection.
Was set in his beliefs in the end and it payed off. When Cave died he acted as a replacement leader in a way. Like Cave, MirrorMasq was right on the mafias tail but was ignored by the mafia anyway. He did a fair amount of lurking in the beginning and many of the messages he got were helpful.
Shinan
Shinan was fairly lucky throughout the game has he had discovered 2 cannibals in a row starting with Night 2 to his death on Night 4. For some reason when asked to role claim he put it off until the next day.
Chana
Her double vote ability often worked in town's best interest. Chana was suspected of being mafia by a few people throughout the game but no one ever pursued this further. She survived to the end.
Idida
Unfortunately the mafia stomped on Idida's work the first chance they got and he was ignored by them since they figured he was useless. He most definitely revived the right person, though.
Marrend
Marrend was seeminglu seless after his brother was killed but no. He actually contributed a great deal to town's lynch decisions and was uually very accurate.
Trihan
He died day 2 after rabitz rallied his fellow townies against him. Marrend's brother. Well, at least he lived an extra day this time around?
VILLAINS
LockeZ
Acting as the leader of the cannibals, LockeZ binded the cannibals together and submitted the eating choice. LockeZ also expertly framed Trihan night 1. Things could have been better if Shinan had investigated rabitZ.
Dudesoft
Was a fairly good member of the cannibals. I'm still unsure as to why he never used yakuza's limit break. I'd assume because he didn't want to die.
Gourd_Clae
I really shouldn't analyze myself.
MrChearlie
Seemed resigned to losing on the last day, but played his cards well throughout the game otherwise.
INDEPENDENTS
Despite
A liitle hard to analyze since he was lynched on Day 1. I guess better him than the townies or the cannibals.
Yellow Magic
I thank Yellow Magic for killing Happy so we didn't have to. And it's good for the mafia that you died when you did since you could have been a pain later on. It's hard to say which way Yellow magic was alligning themself.
Despite for MVP!
I think Gourd did a fairly decent analysis. Though, I must admit, I was sweating with making the hammer vote on LockeZ and MrChearlie.
I think MVP would probably go to chana. When I noticed that she had double-voting power (Which was when I saw the result for Day 3), I relied very heavily on it.

Also, -technically- it was my bulletproof ability that saved me the last night, but Kyrsty had a good eye in realizing I was totally innocent, and not falling for the cannibals claiming I was lying!

Yeah, that's true. Zeuzio's notes do specify that the bulletproff power superseded Kyrsty's medic power. Though, Rinoa protecting Squall has a certain, I dunno, irony?
I completely missed last day cause of internet problems. :(
Still, it was fun. Never played Mafia before, but surely I'll play it some more.

Dudesoft

Are you joking? You guys barely said a word to me, and left me hanging when we had Shinan on the ropes! If you guys piled on him, he'd be out, someone else would be converted via yakuza and someone would have been eaten. The turning point of the game, was literally when you all failed to lynch Shinan.
We definitely made a mistake there, and I'm not sure why we did (was it just me?). I remember reading your PM and not really knowing what to say to it since attempting to lynch Shinan would have made me look suspicious after defending him.

There wasn't really any useful opportunity to use the yakuza ability in my opinion. I feel it's best used a bit into the game so to upset the balance of all the "confirmed" innocents. Dudesoft died on day 3 and there really weren't enough confirmed innocents in the previous nights to make the yakuza ability that worthwhile.
Also I "only" discovered two villains in my investigations.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

There wasn't a lot of mafia chatter at all really, aside from voting. I wrote a couple paragraphs each night with my thoughts but everyone else just wrote a sentence or two most nights, telling me who they voted to eat. And I was CCing all the mafia members with every message, but I'm not sure they were doing the same when they responded to me. RMN doesn't tell the recipient who the other recipients were, so it's hard to tell.
This is a great place for mafia chat.
I guess I didn't show you guys this last time because the site's blocked at my school. Derp.

Not that I have any real say, but I think WTF would go to MrChearlie. Dudesoft's faux role claim was pretty clever, and LockeZ's was ingenious. MrChearlie's on the other hand, was probably the absolute worst. I mean, Tonberry? Which uses Chef's Knife? In a game with cannibals? Come on, man!
Though, I do find it ironic that Gourd_Clae, who claimed to have an extra vote if "Rinoa" voted with him, had a double vote against him. Heh, the evidence against his case was proven with the voting!
