Does anyone know how to have multiple of the same actor but in a different place in the initial party?

In which engine?

Do you mean multiple identical instances or just the same person twice but can be commanded separately?
I think it is going to be the multiple identical instances. I also think I would like to hear the way abo.ut the same person twice but you command seperately.

Well if it's the latter just create an identical entry in the hero database with the same name and add them to the party.

Multiple identical instances would be slightly tricker. What exactly is this for? If I know what you're trying to do I'll have a better idea of how to help you.
So its for my game and your make to craft monsters to help you fight and if the player crafts the same type of monster than its going to need to be in a different slot

Is there a limit on the number of monsters you can craft?
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Probably instead of making one actor per monster type per slot, it's going to be waaaaaaay simpler for you to just make one actor per slot. So your game only needs as many actors total as you have party slots. Then in the game when the player crafts a monster, you will need to assign all the correct stats and graphics to one of the actors.

You can only have three monsters in your party

So from what your saying make a basic type of the monster and through events give it its stats so it is placed differently in the party?

By "placed differently than the party", do you mean "formation"? Formation doesn't really matter, but it's possible for players to exchange active party members in VX Ace if you didn't mess with the menu system.
Sorry, just didn't quite fully understand what he was saying. And I believe it is formation I am talking about.
Why not make each monster you can craft a class? Then when you craft a monster you set Actor X's class to that monster and change their actor graphic accordingly.

I'll try this way as well. And thank you everyone for suggestions!
