WHY YOU NO ATTACK?

I have a problem with RPG Maker VX Ace. When ever someone in the party or an enemy attacks there is not damage taken. Can any one help solve this problem?
Even though it shows up as a separate command in combat, the act of attacking is used as a skill with no MP cost in Ace. Deleting it would prevent the attacker from attacking.
My guess on the reasoning for this is to make it easier to establish your own attack formula without them (EB!) having to take up more space somewhere outside of the skills database.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

yes that is what they said twice in this thread already
could you fix it?
It shouldn't be a difficult fix. I mean, you could hit the "Quick" button on Skill#1, and set it up with "0" for the base damage, and "100" in the "physical" box.
Or, you can make up your own calculation!
*Edit: "Add State: Normal Attack 100%". Might want to ensure that's in the effect box!

I love this, by the way. Add this to your physical skills (at like 34% for Triple Strike or whatever) and you can easily make awesome equipment, like some Bracers of Ogre's Might that give all of your physical attacks a chance to stun.
How does that work? I don't follow you there, Craze.
add state: normal attack x%
makes your normal attack states set via equipment/status effects be applied
use ace moar

Ohh. So THAT'S what that state does. I thought it was just a state to do normal attack damage or something.
But wait. Isn't that what the "attack state" on the weapon itself is for?
that "state" is what applies attack states set on equipment; without the object using that state, there is no way the attack states can be applied
and yes, this means you make skills like FF9 where Zidane has like a 999% chance to inflict his weapon's ailment (iirc)

Ohhh. That makes so much more sense now. Thank you, kitty hot dog man!
