CloseThey really need to do a release, in someway, that shows other GFs. Maybe a re-release on the PS3, eventually, but remade, to show other GFs as a bonus feature.
Part of me would really, really like to see FF8 redone and explained a lot better with a buttload more GFs/party members/perspectives, and definitely to show other SEEDs using GFs. Another part of me looks at what Squeenix decided to do when it came to Advent Children and FFX-2 and thinks they should just leave their games alone.
It'd be COOL if they did a game based entirely around Laguna's plotline, or maybe if you played as Cid or something.. I guess if they messed it up that badly, they could just ignore the remakes and let everyone assume it was never a part of the FF universe.

Like everything passed FF10, people overlook because of how bad they are.
Also I liked Advent Children.
It blows 'Spirits within' out of the water. That movie sucked balls.

AC was okay for what it was, I just felt it was a bit of a cop-out. I never really considered Spirits Within to be part of the FF universe either, but I've seen worse. I mean, I sat through Kung Fu Panda 2 the other day. Does it get much worse? :P
As for everything past FF10: I dunno, I got FF13 somewhere (only bought it because it was 'buy one get one free' and my boyfriend wanted Sakura Wars) and I started to play it a while ago, but the battle system annoyed me so much/Skyrim came along. I really ought to resume playing it at some point.. I used to think it was total arse, but I think I'll give it a chance (mainly for the battle theme). From what I played, Lightning was pretty much a pink-haired Cloud.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

The key to enjoying FF games that were released after the first one you played is to realize that there isn't an "FF universe" or an "FF mythos" or even an "FF style", and that the only thing the words Final Fantasy actually mean are "Square Enix's big budget game this year"

I like to think that the FF series all have a definite, similar feel to them..
But uhh, yes. I was thinking of bringing that up a few posts back. We've gone waaaaay farrr off course with this now and I've found my answers from this topic, so thanks to everyone who gave a response. ^^ Time to start some making of games!
