Edit: Commissions are now closed! Check back in January / February 2013. Though you can still message me but I can't begin working on your song until February or so.

You can now request a custom theme from me for $7! The money will be spent on RMN Music Pack's Voters' Choice Award!

This is how it works:

There is 5 open slots. Each slot is worth $7. To reserve a slot you need to PM me your request and I will reserve you the first available slot. I will begin composing the requested themes in January and you don't need to pay me until your theme is complete and you're happy with it. After your theme is complete and I have received your payment you have full copyrights to the theme in question.

How will these payments be added to the prize money if they are made after the event is over?

Basically I'm just adding extra $35 to the prize money of RMN Music Pack from my own pocket, but collecting the funds afterwards by composing people custom requests! Everyone benefits!

If you choose to donate more than one song's worth of money, you get to reserve more slots. But I will still only have 5 slots available in total, so be quick!

(Your song will be loopable (unless specified otherwise) and most likely 1:20-2:30 in duration, depending whatever works best for the track in question. If you need more details, please feel free to send me a PM!)

You have some real talent, man. They are all really great, but I love Demon appearance. I'm interested in hearing more tracks from you and seeing where your talent takes you.

I listen to your submissions from the music competition that was held here not long ago all the time when I'm working on my game, Especially the battle/friend vs friend boss theme you made. :D

Number 2 is just what I was looking for!

Any more detective themes, especially with saxophones?

Thanks! It's all about practice, and I've still got a long way to go, but I'm glad to hear my music can be enjoyed!

Just to make sure, I hope you're not planning on using these themes anywhere, because I've composed them for specific projects, and only those people have the rights to use them! (This applies at least to the "Casual Poverty" track.) I have some WIP song that uses a Sax, but I am going to make more Sax tracks for the same detective game in the future, as well.

I hope I'd have more new themes to show, seeing I was featured in front page, (thank you!!) but unfortunately I'm absent from home and traveling for the time being, so I can't access any of my work, other than what I could find from my locker.

Which was some old stuff and this:

Red Star Agency WIP
A start for Detective Agency theme for a detective RPG.

As for tracks that fall under CC lisence (meaning you could use them in your freeware games with proper credits), I have plans releasing that sort of stuff in near future. Just keep an eye out for RMN's new events and stuff in the next couple of months.

Red Star Agency WIPA start for Detective Agency theme for a detective RPG.

Sounds like...celtic jazz hah!

I don't really like it though. These tracks don't fit together, I find the drums are a little too lazy and off beat.

Casual Poverty - I don't like what the instruments are playing. The way the notes are strung together feels lifeless and random. It's a weird and vague comment, and mostly based on my personal tastes, but it feels like that is a good song but the musician is reading the sheet music incorrectly. It's got a good base beat/melody, but the filler sounds all wrong. The vibe of the song is good though.

For those 2 songs, if I was playing a game with them in it, I wouldn't really think twice about them. They sound ok and do set the right mood. But if it were for my game and I hired you, that's what I'd say xD

The other 2 are pretty awesome. They feel very big and full of life. On the 3rd one(pack your shit and lets go adventuring'), some of the notes feel wrong again. Like if you changed some of the B's to C's, for example, it might sound better.

This is something I completely disagree with! Though it is still a WIP and it might come across better once I get to polish it more.

Hmm, which instrument do you think sound most off?

I can agree about some notes sounding off in the Adventure Ace piece! I hope to improve my chords and harmony along with everything else in the future! And thanks for your feedback!
Aww, what a bummer! Oh well, my project still has ways to go so yeah.
Cool stuff! I tried working with music back in 1999-2002, and it's hard comming up with a sound that worked!
I liked the Red star Agency WIP ;) the drums are smooth I like that so I don't find a problem. Hope to hear more jazzy things on the future :D

heh Maybe. I'll give it another listen and you might win me over yet ;)

The instrument that comes in around 1:03 is the worst offender(in my ears). The bass some times. And that main driving melody playing over the bass at the start/end, but like the bass its only some parts of that that bug me.

Any time ^.^
Demon appearance is the best! Well, so far at least! Good job!
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I expected this topic to be about the kind of peaceful, pleasant music that plays during happy scenes at the beginning of the game before your hometown gets burned down. Instead it was music by Happy.

Some new songs:

Den of Thieves: a theme for an underground city of thieves.
http://soundcloud.com/800mph/catharsis-den-of-thieves
This one I made as a request for Catharsis. It's supposed to have oppressive, but also a thief-ish sound to it.

New Discoveries!: background music for an adventure puzzle game where you control a HQ of treasurehunters.
http://soundcloud.com/800mph/adventure-ace-new-discoveries
A song I made for Adventure Ace. Supposed to sound lighthearted and remind of archaeology adventure in some sense.

Underground City Theme: another underground city theme for jrpgs. Has some gnomes.
http://soundcloud.com/800mph/underground-city-theme
This one ain't so smooth, but served well as good practice!

I mentioned your Catharsis songs in my review. They really added to that game and were was a highlight for me.

Great stuff again, are you doing the whole Catharsis soundtrack though?

I'm glad you like them! As for a complete soundtrack, that's uncertain. So far I've just been doing separate song requests.
