Every townie disregarded the fact that the revived people (meaning you and dudez) could have swap sides - if, thinking from your POV, that you've joined us, you would have benefited the most, right? Plus since LWG has been missing, your vote would help us (assuming all of these if you didn't know the true nature of my power.)
The townies certainly would not have suspected me! (frankly it was enough dealing with Dudesoft...) but yes that's assuming your power wasn't what it was.

I would have disregarded this purely for it being the most ridiculously overpowered mafia ability short of just killing all of town in one night action.

I thought you of all people would probably figure out the trick if you've connected the dots on night 1's extra killings and when Marrend was dead. Oh and if everyone just thought like you, if only...........

Edit: Wait a minute. How would it be overpowered? I thought there was a role out there called "Cult Leader" where he can invite people to become cultists (actually, you're forced to become one) soooo??
The problem with that is that their text when they died and when they were revived still read as Hero. There is a mafia role that does this (which is what Happy's was in witch hunt). It's confusing, it's anti-town, and if used correctly it could be completely fatal to any chance town had at winning (as was my folly in reviving Softdude)
I'm getting more familiar with mafia but I don't recall a recruitment role in my previous plays, or else I would've considered the possibility. Neither do I remember the investigator being an Independent, ever.

Cults generally are overpowered but they are also balanced in the sense that they are not aligned with the mafia and can actively reduce the mafia's numbers, so the mafia will view them as a threat. Generally they are gimped in some way. Like, only the original cult leader can convert people to cult, or if the cult leader dies, all the cult members die. Or you can have a town-sided role that can visit cult members and kill them. Or combinations.
I probably would not have joined you, even ignoring meta reasons (Like why not just make there be five mafia to start with rather than have a mafia role that weakens town and strengthens mafia at the same time), because a guy at night inviting you to join the mafia sounds really fishy.
And because I really didn't need to "join the mafia" to win with the mafia. Had I somehow been wrong and lynched a bunch of townies, I would have just switched sides and used my nightkill ability to destroy/cripple town and side with the mafia at lylo.
Someone needs to get Happy to play more mafia.

hmph, I only agreed to the coin toss because it was obvious dudesoft didn't care anymore and wasn't even going to post anymore.
but yeah, I think YM is a worthy MVP because if it wasn't for the deaths in the last night nobody would have suspected him of being mafia.
In fact, I did point a couple of times that I suspected him, but after reviewing his vote patterns I disregarded that possibility! He did good.
I need to trust my intuition more.
