LOOKING FOR A SCRIPT FOR MIRRORS / REFLECTION AS IN DUKE NUKEM SO MY CHARACTER CAN CHECK HIMSELF OUT

Can't seem to find a script for this, I'm not even sure if it's possible. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
what do you mean exactly? (And this sounds like something that can just be evented wherever there is a mirror)
Well... I guess it would involve having the area on the map where there is a tileset that looks like a mirror reflecting characters when they approach...
I'm doing a restroom in a club where some guys are doing drugs, and my character goes in, and he goes up to the mirror, and it would just reflect like the top half of the character, not the scenery or anything, and then if an npc walked up behind him, or next to him really, it would reflect the same portion of that sprite. And the tileset of the mirror would be shiny metallic texture.

Here's a fast way to probably make it.
Just place an event where the mirror is. Have it be two frames one with the mirror and one with the mirror and the character reflected on it.
In front of that place another event which when the character steps on it will make the mirror event go to the frame with the character reflected on it. When the character steps off away from this event it should revert back.
Someone probably has a better idea though.

flowerthief: I think that probably is what I'm looking for, but I don't think I can feasibly lift the code from that site since the code is interspersed with half Japanese, and doesn't format right.
I will try what you suggested Julev and see if that works for now. I did something like that with a tinted window effect where a character passed behind a window and was tinted while he was behind it and then stepped back out and was normal again. It took a lot of trial and error, and I bet I can copy what I did there to some effect.
